Ketamine help severe edema?
Hi,
Newly diagnosed with CRPS1 after nearly 10 months from onset and 11 specialists. I've read the boards for a few days and see edema addressed here and there but I would like to ask if anybody has had decrease in whole leg edema from any kind of treatment, ketamine infusion, specifically.
One reason for delayed diagnosis was the lymphedema-like swelling that started on the outside of my right lower ankle and moved up my entire right leg and upper right pelvic area with no known inciting incident. The swelling was so bad it threw everybody off as to diagnosis. They thought lymphoma. I have about ten lbs of extra fluid on my right leg and I'm only 120 lbs at 5'3.5". I just turned 60. I can't stay up on my feet for long or exert myself or the leg blows up. If I use support garments or wraps it just swells into them until the skin is burning red and sometimes even raw. It does this sometimes even when I'm not standing. Like in the middle of the night when I try to wrap my leg to keep the swelling down. The swelling won't be contained and is quite uncomfortable. This is bothering me and impeding my lifestyle more than anything else. I've pretty much researched and tried all the normal things. Just wondering if the ketamine infusion might help even if it wouldn't be primarily for pain. Thanks for any help.
