Default Was a crazy night in the Hospital

I was admitted into the hospital tueday evening with severe liver pain, chest pain, have been vomiting for a month now and with all that the RSD was flaring. I have full body RSD and sarcoidosis in the lungs and liver and now its spread to the stomach and then went through thyroid cancer. The other problems were everytime I would vomit like 15 minuets later I would be confused and not be able to talk and drool really bad. The ER had no ideas so they admitted me then once I got up stairs everything went nuts my nurse came in and checked my heart and it was racing so he called the on call doctor by then I had a severe fever was sweating and shaking. They did an EEG and it came back bad I was severely tacki the doctor was so scared I was going into shock, they put a montor on my heart and the whole night the nurses and doctors were running into my room as the monitor kept going off as even with 3 doses of low presser it wouldnt calm down and my fevers werent going down. My labs were fine. But it sure scared me and the poor doctor I have never seen one so scared he was just pacing back and forth in my room praying not to have to call a code. He got me on very powerful antibiotocs even though my blood was fine and the the low pressers finally brought it down enough but by that end of that night everyone was exausted as the lady next door her heart was doing the same but was low instead of high so they spent the night running like mad from room to room. I have been through some scary moments in hospitals but this was the scariest. They still dont know whats wrong only that maybe my sarcoid is getting worse in the liver and may need a new one so next week I will be transfered to philly to see another sarcoid specialist to see what he thinks he can do. At least its a little layed back tonight and hopfully my heart will let me sleep and not make the staff run in every 20 min. I am in a great hospital its the one my RSD specialist is head of pain here so all the doctors know me and they handle alot of RSD patients here, I just had to share Iam 25 and it sure scared me as I could see how scared they were for me. The doctor wouldnt leave my room he spent 6 hours pacing back and forth praying I was going into systemic shock.

Hope everyones having a better night
Samantha

How frightening !

I'm glad that at least you have confidence in the hospital and staff and that they are treating you well, even though they haven't been able to pin down what's going on/how to best manage things.

I hope they figure you out soon !

Best wishes for a speedy recovery

Samantha,

Wow, what a story! What a night. I would have been scared too; anybody would have. The E.R was definitely the right place for you with all of these symptoms. Isn't it amazing what a terrible CRPS flare can do to the human body?

I pray for you that you find some relief and some sleep and can quickly get back to your baseline. And make changes to prevent future evenings like this....good luck!

Thank you all for your support. It wasnt so much the RSD the problem as it was the sarcoidosis they are thinking I may need a new liver. Iam being disscharged today finally and my mom will drive me to temple university in philly to see if I do, and see what kind of havoc the sarcoid is doing to me. The sarcoidsis is an auto immune disease which they believe the RSD caused it. The ones in my lungs are not growing its the liver and stomach thats the issue now and with me having the chest pain they have to take a look at the heart also. It always is never dull is it, if its not one thing its another. Sometimes I just want to scream, I want to be strong for my mom but every morning I always ask myself why was i even put on this earth. I know many of you go through this RSD really is a life taker, but Iam trying to keep up the fight even with it trying to take me down so hard. Its almost like my own body dispises me, Iam like didnt I take care of you all thee years and this is what you show for it lol..

Pain Free Hugs to all and I will let you know how temple university goes and says. My mom told me if I do need a new liver if she is a match she will donate part of hers. I am so lucky to have her by my side. And to have all of you as well. Thanks everyone!

Samantha

Thanks for all your support, its great to be home Iam just so weak now I feel like I have 20lb weights on my arms. I will see on tue. whats going on with temple univ. I jut want to get it all done with. I hate having so many questions with no answers especially when the questions about whats happening to you really scares me. Its just easier telling all of you how I feel then my mom as I want her to think I am still feeling strong even if its the other way around. I am just crossing my fingers, I have heard so many bad diagnosis Iam hoping this wont be one of them, but I would like to understand whats going on as I know the doctors at my regular hospital sure do, they are all like we know something is wrong but just arent sure. I have a certain set of symptoms and vitals I have to check round clock to know if I need to go back in or not.
Thanks everyone for letting me share and unload.
Pain Free Hugs for All

Samantha

The RSD alone just wasn't challenging enough to deal with, huh ?

God bless you for your 'keep trekking along' attitude. I think I'd be venting a heck of a lot more if my plate were THAT full. Your mom must be petrified for you too. My prayers for both of you as you work your way through this new challenge.

Remember whenever you're stuck in the hospital, if the night nurses or machines keep you/wake you up......if you can get online, we have more than a few night owls here (like me !) to chat/commiserate with !

Tell your ungrateful body to step back in line !
