vic, great tag line that you've added to your signature!.....it also helps explain why so many of my relatives have flourished, when by all rights, they should have drowned in the shallow end of the gene pool long ago!

as to the choco frogs....well, i've been making choc frogs for the Great Harry Potter Birthday Bash this weekend and i hope u r all very happy knowing that just looking at them now makes me laugh....i certainly hope i can keep my face straight at the party, because i couldn't in a million years explain this thread to most of the folks at the party.

and i think we need to know more about this poor nameless frog before we hang a tag on him/her/it......maybe it's a very dignified sort of frog (Franklin?) or suppose it's a real party 'animal' (Fanny?)...or maybe we could name it what i'd be calling a frog in my tub, which would be "dammit".

when do we vote on this?

Hmmm. Excuse me again...but I am confused?

Squeezing things about their middles might definately cause some poppages to go on, but not just in MALES.

Er..Uh....Hmmm. It is called....you know. Going number 2?

So...how exactly would that help in determining if this is a boy frog of girl frong?

Seems to me all it wouldhelp to determine is what color POO (or maybe even pee) frog poo is.

Uh...unless this IS a Chocolate Frog we are talking about here, in that case it would probably produce chocolate chips!

I must be missing something...

On that note....

((hugs))

I have solved it...

Artist - get a photo of a girlie frog and a photo of a boy frog and discover which it goes closer too!!! (Admittedly it could be a gay frog.. in which case I think either Fergus or Ferdinand).

Remeber I am still Frogga! and the one and only....

Vic - I told Rodney about your SO and he is very disturbed. now...oh, and I'm british too!!! I'm VERY decorous.. you are talking to someone who had elocution and deportment lessons.... !!

slightly ruined by my ****ing gutter language!!

Love ya'll

Ok, I have an idea of figuring out if its a he or a she....or a heshe.

Anyways, buy 3 frogs. A girl frog, a boy frog, and a gay frog. Put the girl frog with ur frog and see what happens. If that doesn't work, let her go and try the boy frog. If that fails too, let him free and you are left with 2 gay frogs. Congratulations.

Ok I had to google for the frog sex facts-
[4. How do I tell the sex of my frog or toad?

Sexing frogs depends on the species. There are a number of tropical species that are dimorphic in regards to color, with the males being more colorful than females. In Minnesota, Bullfrogs and Green Frog males have larger eardrums than females. In some species males will have enlarged thumbs. Most good field guides will provide descriptions of the differences.

Under certain conditions, some frogs can change their sex! Check it out:
http://newton.dep.anl.gov/askasci/bio99/bio99128.htm ]

[4. Will frogs and toads breed with other species?
Not successfully. Some males are nonselective of mates and will mount other males, which will give a warning noise for the other to release its grasp. ]

and some other stuff

[1. What is the difference between frogs and toads?
Frogs have:
smooth or slimy skin
strong, long legs
webbed hind feet
two bulging eyes
lay eggs in clusters
a group of frogs is called an
ARMY of frogs

Toads have:
warty and dry skin
stubby bodies with short hind legs
paratoid glands behind eyes
lay eggs in long chains
a group of toads is called a
KNOT of toads]

BULGING EYES?!?!?

..... and anyone an expert on frogs ear drums? not something I'm overly [I]familiar with!!

maybe get a frogologist to have a look... you could also watch it - if it farts, scratches itself, drinks pond water (equivalent to lager) its a boy.. if it likes eating chocolate, buying shoes and pink it's a girl.....

Hey Mark
you've done a brilliant job, big gold star..

And woah! Finally managed to get online for more than a very quick look-see....and what do I find? People Taking My Name in Vain, no less! -----> hey Vic, eff off, she said sweetly, LOL (oh look, no asterisks)....had a quick talk to the frog, btw - gotta go again, back in a couple of hours or so....

all the best

Or maybe not - I've got a temperature, not very high, but I'm taking an early night (nearly midnight here anyway...)
