Well, Mark,

as they say, talk is cheap. Have you bought the ticket yet???

I have. I just have to figure out how to get a passport between now and Thursday.

Darling Pat, I'm on my way...I think...Vic

BTW: Are you married?

Default feeling intimidated

i truly had planned on posting a picture, but now i'm really feeling intimidated by all the glamour here.....roz is beautiful, (but i was picturing a tiny redhead!)....artist is incredibly chic looking (pictured her very accurately, tho i expected tall, like 5'8'' or 5'9'').....vanessa has a drop-dead smile AND looks good in glasses (i don't, never have) and putting up my picture would just be a let down now!

i look like a grandmother....or at least like grandmothers looked before they discovered miss clairol and aerobics classes....i'm very ordinary looking and 30 pounds overweight (and that's a hefty amount at my height).....jose is the only one who came close, and that's because she has listened to me moan and groan about being short .....5'3" and i HATE it.....i have to ask strangers to help me get things off the top shelf in the supermarket, petite clothes r made for teenagers, moan and groan, etc........however, even jose got the eyes wrong....i faked her out with a pic of my blue-eyed grandson...my dad had blue, my daughter cass has blue, but i have my mom's green eyes.

it's funny that everyone pictured me as blonde.....i'm a brunette, or was before the gray took over....funny, that i still think of myself as brunette......my hair is short, and except for a brief time in the 60's, always was....i wear glasses to read and a different pair to drive, but i don't wear glasses all the time .......my reading glasses tend to hang on the neckline of my shirt since i need them more and more often as i get older....and i'd rather lick wet paint than wear one of those chains with loops that hold your glasses because my sis-in-law (the one who knows everything, and tells everyone how to live) keeps telling me that i need to use one of those chains....i'll EAT my damned glasses first.

age?....well, at one time i was the oldest woman in the rsd group....don't know if that's still true....i'm 60.

i don't speak any language except english (unless u count 'toddler')....i have tried, believe me i have tried, but i have NO ear for it and can't seem to master even the basics....very odd for a word merchant/musician combo, but there's a hole in my brain where other languages should be.

this was mentioned about someone else, but it's true for me....my house always smells good......i'm a baker - specialty is cookies, tho i also love to find 'lost treasure' recipes and make them....things like philadelphia german butter cake....mmmmm!...(hey, u can't build a shape like mine with low-fat yogurt, y'know?).

this was mentioned more than once and it's true.....i smile LOTS!....there r several reasons for this....1.) i have so many blessings and it keeps me fairly cheerful....2.) smiling makes everyone look younger (and even tho i EARNED my gray hair and wrinkles, i don't mind looking younger).....and 3.) my favorite reason: i smile because it makes everyone wonder what i'm up to!

and finally: mark, if you're flying to hong kong, please arrange a stopover near me so i can have your house key....i'm going to clean your house, fill your freezer with yummy things, wash the windows (does anything need painting?) and maybe polish your shoes...(if u still aren't wearing shoes, i'll polish your socks!).......i mean, Hope Lange?...HOPE LANGE????....it's a very complimentary thought, and i'd love to be all dainty and elegant like that, but the truth is more like Tyne Daly (and not 'cagney and lacy'...we're talking tyne daly in "judging Amy").

this is so much fun!....i wonder how i'd look as the blonde y'all seem to think i am?......hmmmm...needs some thinking!

Hi Coach,

You would't believe want a couple different bottles of Clariol can do. I have lost weigh this past year. I was on 40mg of Predisone a while back for 3 months after that crap I was a fat pig. REALLY

I also know how to wear makeup, even though it doesn't look like I have much on. (I DO) So I know how to cover up the flaws and wrinkles. Also lovely Dawn knew not to do a real close up.

Hugs, Roz xxx

Hi Liz,

Well, as you must know, I've always had a very soft spot for you, and if I see you've posted I'll usually look at yours first, because you always have something interesting to say, and you say it well. You're an elegant writer, and always manage to inject wit and humour into your posts. So there

We just want to see you, you know, not a cover pic - what about one of you at the triplet's Harry Potter party? If you have any, I'd love to see what you all did with that, sounded a riot...so what about it? - if you really don't want to put up one of yourself, one of the triplets would be nice anyway!

I think you sound lovely, inside and out,
all the best
