Smirk My Phsyical Therapy

I had to chuckle when I realized something today. We all know we have to learn to adapt with our new limitations and abilities. Since I am still "new" in my diagnosis, April is 6 months now, my Physical Therapist has told me to try and use my arm as much as possible without causing pain. Things like not self-slinging, or doing the dishes with it but stopping BEFORE it starts hurting. That is very difficult by the way. This evening as I got a drink if water, I held the cup while it filled and took a few drinks, before switching hands, and it hit me. Something so incredibly, stupid, and simple as getting a drink IS my physical therapy. It's like exercise for my arm, good grief........too bad it doesn't work that way for the rest of my body!!
