Default Trying to find a doctor

I am new to this site and I was wondering if anyone out there can help me? I live in Odessa NY and am looking for a good doctor that can tell me for sure that I have RSD and can treat it. I have been told by two doctors that that's what they think it is but don't treat it. I am so frustrated with this constant pain and not sleeping that I am about to go nuts. So if anyone could point me in the direction of a good doctor I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you,

Tina

Default Hi Tina,

I am also new to RSD and I am sorry that you are going thru this rat race with your Doctors. I know many people have to go to many Dr's before they can get the proper treatment and then sometimes it can be too late and then there RSD has spread or gone beyond the point to try and place it in remission. Have you been able to get into a pain management doctor? Can you suggest to your current doctor that they refer you to a pain management specialist? These are the doctors that see allot of RSD and do most of the blocks needed in the beginning. Maybe someone can add to this... Because I am sure I most likely missed alot. Or Please correct me if I am wrong...
I wish you well and hope that you are able to get the timely treatment that you need.
Many Hugs
Dawn

Hi, I googled pain management doctors near Odessa, NY. Here is the link. You should call them and ask if they treat RSD and if they take your insurance. What you will probably have to do is go to your primary and have him/her refer you to the pain mgmt doc. Good Luck.
