Question Does Anyone have Experience with the Catapres-TTS-1 Patch

Hi,
My Dr has put me on Clonidine or the Catapres-TTS-1 patch. I placed it on Sunday afternoon and about 24 hours later I started feeling very worn out and drowsy. Today isn't much better, actually about the same. I know that this is one of the side effects. I was just curious if anyone had any idea how long this might last. I know everyone reacts differently to medications so it is just a question to get an idea... Any other side effect that anyone has experienced from the medications short term or long term...
The pharmacist told me to place the patch in the area where I have the most pain which is my right arm. Is this true or can I place it on the shoulder area with the same results?
Thanks for your help...
Many Hugs
Dawn

Default Been on the catapres patch

Yes I was on the catapares patch,. Unfortunately, like the other 35 meds it did not help the pain. However, if I remember correctly it is really used for blood pressure. So you are using it off label. (not posistive about this as I took it over a yr. ago). Check the paper insert in the box for usage. Thus be careful - maybe it is affecting your blood pressure. That is why you are feeling like you do. I'd check with my dr. and report your symptoms. That is always the safest thing to do with any new med. Also, you could call the druggist in the meantime. They are usually very knowledgeable.
Good luck,
Sydney
