Default Focused ultrasound surgery for neuropathic pain

I don't really know much about this, but just stumbled upon some information about an experimental non-invasive brain surgery being tested on a variety of conditions, including neuropathic pain. Thought I would share it as another hopeful sign of developing treatments.

A TED Talk, explaining the basics: http://www.ted.com/talks/yoav_medan_...hout_cuts.html

One study (no CRPS patients, but other types of central pain): http://thejns.org/doi/full/10.3171/2011.10.FOCUS11248

Website of a company that makes the device (lots more info-albeit, obviously biased): http://www.insightec.com/
