Default Help! Desperate to find RSD/CRPS doctor in Northern California

I am desperate to find a doctor who treats RSD/CRPS in the SF Bay Area/Napa Sonoma/North Bay area. Just moved back here from Phoenix where I had a doctor and was undergoing physical therapy for my hand for this disorder.

I cannot afford to stop treatment all of a sudden. Plus my short-term disability will not continue if I stop seeing a doctor for this!

I had to move because I lost my job as a staff writer because of this issue.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

I've heard good things about Bay Area Pain and Wellness.

I can't say that I recommend Stanford or UCSF Pain Management. There is a facebook w/ people from CA in it, you might try asking there...

"RSD/CRPS California Support Community"

and

"RSD/CRPS Bay Area Support"

I would join and ask both, as not all the same people are in each group.

Again, thank you, but how can I join a FB group on a malady that I don't want prospective employers or clients to know I have? It's hard enough getting a job in my field, let alone posting all over FB that I have this thing! Anyone have any workarounds for this?

Default Stanford Docs

Hi Piperlori,

I've seen Dr. Michael Leong at the Stanford Pain Clinic as an outpatient and also for one week as an inpatient. He is very kind and caring.

Also, Dr. Wedemeyer is a very caring, patient and kind Doctor in Palo Alto. I saw him through the Feinberg Medical Group through Workers Comp. I'm not sure if he treats patients through private insurance, but it's worth giving them a call.

I hope that helps! I've had CRPS for 10 years and I know how challenging physically and emotionally it is. We're here for you! I wish you all the best!
