Default Hi hopeless

Sorry that happened to you too. I guess it is a lesson for patients to get their records and try to correct what is wrong. I wouldn't like it if my records were released to someone else either. Seems to me with all this tecky stuff, they could do better with keeping the information correct, and private. Take care, ginnie

By federal law you have the right to a copy of your medical records and the office can charge a reasonable fee for copying those files for you. Also, by federal law your medical records are NOT your property they are the propery of the doctors office, which is why there are also laws regarding disclosure, storage, and disposal of such files.

I understand your frustration and am sorry for what your going through, but even if you have to pay for them its important to have a copy.

Thank you all! I understand now, that I can pick up a copy of my file for less then 3 dollars US. So, that's cheaper than parking...... But, It' s OK, that puts it back in my hands maybe? I just don't get it. I saw what they filled out, and my ruined test, because my hair looks like J Fogerty, and old beatle, I'm supposed to 'conform' somehow?
