Talking CRPS symptom metaphors.....?!

Right this particular minute, my left foot is bright red and very sore. Thought we could maybe have some 'fun' with those things we say to describe how it feels....whilst trying to keep it light-hearted

So I'm kicking things off with my favourite, and I know a popular choice with all you lucky folks out there....

You could fry an egg on my foot (it might slip off, and be a bit stinky, but still...)

Bram.

I call my right hand "monkey paw".

Although it has improved, it was so swollen my fingers were in this nearly fixed bent position and my wrist and hand were hairy. I compared with the guys at work and I was the hairiest. So, monkey paw seemed fitting.

EDIT: I hope this doesn't offend anyone. It is just how I deal with it. It helps me to use humour.

I tell my son who is 2 yrs old don't touch mommy's ooboo leg or mommy has a real booger leg. He smiles and really tries not to mess with it but its hard for a 2 yr old to remember things like that. I also ask him to bring mommy her 3rd leg (my cane) so we can get stuff. He loves that one, because then he's being helpful.

I call my CRPS foot "Rudulph" for Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.

My foot kind of looks like his nose when it gets angry!! Although I won't likely be leading any sleigh rides with it.....
