Yes I've seen that video AZ-Di, it was amazing the difference it made to that little girl.

BUT - and for me this is a big but - the same people who developed that amazing strain of cannabis, mainly specialize in making strains of cannabis plant with higher and higher THC content, specifically for the pot-heads who just want to get off their faces. And it's those strains that are muddying the waters of cannabis as a potential medical aid.

There's so much political and social concern about the sheer numbers of people who are recreationally using huge amounts of high-THC cannabis and basically are unable to function in a normal society any more. The high-THC stuff is what's selling in big numbers, and making those chaps their massive fortunes

If the trend continues, even states where cannabis use has been legalized will end up slamming the door on legal usage, simply because those states are attracting more and more of the sort of folk that just don't contribute anything positive to society - and I'm NOT talking about the patients who need it for pain relief...

If those guys who created the low-THC high cannabinoid strain concentrated their efforts on promoting its medical benefits, and stopped selling the very high-THC stuff that really does just rot the mind and make you high as a kite, I'd applaud them wholeheartedly. But the medically important strain is a tiny tiny part of what they're doing. And of course it's good positive PR for them, when otherwise they might be viewed as just drug-barons...

It's all down to money, sadly. At the moment the profits in the cannabis plant come from recreational drug use, not medicinal. The big drug companies will end up the only winners when legalisation fails, IF they can isolate a specific strain or element (as with Sativex) and claim the right to market that drug under license. They aren't interested in selling the beneficial pure MMJ that anybody else could also make medicinal because they only make profits if they can obtain an exclusive license for a particular unique product and corner the market. Basically they will only make something if they can make massive profits - they aren't philanthropists

It's so tragic. The low-THC high CDB strain is so exciting and important for medicinal use, but the chances of it becoming something patients like us can get is very remote. Even folk who live in that state have a nightmare actually getting hold of it, let alone people outside of the state - or the country of course...

It just gets me down a bit tbh. I'd like something so natural and potentially helpful to be available to me as a patient, no matter where I live. It just doesn't seem fair.

Sorry to be negative, but nights like this I could really do with a bit of hope for something that would take the edge off the pain...

Hope you are all doing ok today

Bram.

Default It works

I have found it extremely helpful. As others have said, it doesn't completely relieve the pain. However, you get relief, and get out of your pain cycle.
I use it mostly for sleep. However, if I am having a bad day, I will use it.

It should be legal everywhere. This just cuts out pharmaceuticals and their side effects. So we can't have that!

I think it should be legal everywhere too for medicinal purposes. I haven't tried it, but if my other meds stop helping, I'd like to have another option to ease my pain.
