I think it's great you push yourself to drive. I would try the special handle too except I can't close my fingers all the way or bend my wrist and when I did try holding my rsd arm up for a long time, it started to hurt more than it already does since I also have limited range of motion in my shoulder also because of my rsd. I also can't drive with my meds and I can't drive without them. So I just don't drive anymore. I don't think at least for me it's a responsible thing to do. My pm dr also said that I shouldn't use my rsd hand to hold the steering wheel, because of concern of it getting twisted and crushed if I were in a car accident. If that happened rsd spread is more likely to occur. He suggested not driving if I could help it because of this.

PS - I love my coffee. I've given up alot of things but will never give up that. Mornings are my favorite time of day because of that wonderful cup of coffee waiting for me. I'm hoping Santa will get me a Keurig this year too. My old perculator is about to break down real soon!!

Lol, I love coffee too - I drank decaf for years, but find I actually get fewer headaches if I have the odd coffee during the day :winky:. I normally drink tea or herbal teas, but sometimes I just have to have a coffee fix.....mmm.....the smell of fresh coffee is amazing!
I want one now lol :winky: Bram. |
As I'm drinking my coffee, lol, my rsd bad arm is the right, I can't drive a standard, I take that back I can if it's a car, I use left hand to reach over n shift while driving with left knee lol, but I have a automatic shifter is in the middle not on steering wheel, and I reach over to shift that too, the left arm has the rsd but not as bad so I can it pretty well still
