Thanks Bram,

I am soooo unbelievably stressed and frustrated. I mean seriously I'm suprised I havent flared due to the stress. It really unnerved me to know that someone I didn't know was in my house touching and moving my things...ugg...God knows what he was doing....

TO have my meds GONE except for a few I kept on me. I ration out what I'll need to take while I'm at work every Monday. I don;t like to carry my full prescription around with me, in fear if my purse is stolen I'd loose my meds. Funny huh? It would've been safer on me....

The doctor flat out wont do it. And my GP is through the same clinic and can't refill it due to the same stupid policy! So looks like Ill have to take all the police info and go the ER route...

Seem wrong to tell your patient to go to the ER when you know it is not an emergency!

They do have a "fast track" in our city in all the area hospitals, it's basically like a Urgent Care with-in the ER. Soooo we'll see what happens.

I am just so sickened, frustrated, and in a lot of pain I want to cry!

I hope the ER gives you your meds and quickly. It's a good idea to bring your police report. If that doesn't work, I would see another pm dr or nuerologist and ask them for help. I hope the ER can help though so you don't have to look for another dr. I wish you well and my thoughts are with you. Take care.

I found the bulk of my pain meds missing, filed a police report along with the other things file against this weirdo. I just started seeing a new doctor who seems really great. He a neuro/phsyatrist and is revamping my medications as the current pain meds I'm on are starting not to work. I have never ran out of medications early or had them stolen. Even with the police report they wont refill them early. Saying it's their office policy. I asked if there was something they could prescribe me in the mean time they said no. They did say "if i can;t handle the pain" to go to the ER or Urgent care???

I said that is ridiculous. Now I'm afraid of going through withdrawals as med prescription will not refill until 11/20. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do?

p.s. I forgot to add we found this weirdo was entering our house while we were not there, hence the stolen meds... Sooo creepy. The locks have been changed now!
HELP! I'm afraid the withdrawals will lead to a flare-up but do not think an ER visit should be necessary!
The only advice I can give you is to start taking a lower dose if possible cut in half slowly.I had to come off one go on another and if you still ween your self you might be ok..I cannot say yo will, because everyone is different..I am so sorry this happened to you..

Sadly, I was down to the last few of my meds, I dont even have enough to last through tomorrow. He stole the remaining bulk of my medication...of course.

+1 would ask doctor directly, and if they won't be reaonable look for a new doctor taking your medical records, police report, etc. Very sady you are in this position. I rely on meds for other reasons and can't imagine being with out them.

Best,
C

Try going or contacting the person who originally prescribed the meds!!!

Default In hell!!!!!

No refill given. And I do NOT want to go to the ER. I am in full blown withdrawals right now....super fun on top of the severe pain in my arm......so great, but only have to wait till Wednesday so hopefully I can "tough" it out until them.......fml

They said it was an office policy and the prescribing doc is under the same clinic so same policy I seriously feel like just chopping off my arm

Go over to the creepy guys house. Hog tie him, and ransacked his house till you find your meds. Then kick the tar out of him for each pill he took. At least it sounds good in theory. Then kick him once more and say thats incase you went through my underwear ya perv. Im feeling bloody minded.

Songbird, you'll get through this horrible time...but I'm so sorry you're having to just 'cope' until you can get your meds replaced....

Maybe work out a 'worse case scenario' plan for keeping your meds in the future - never keep them all in the same place, maybe have a few different hiding places or get a lockable cash box to keep them in. It's so sad, but unfortunately there are clearly folk out there who are prepared to do some stupid/creepy/dangerous things to get hold of drugs....

Good luck on Wednesday I'll be thinking of you.

Bram.
