Heya,
I have never really experienced this before to a great degree - although my face has had pain, some colour change and alloydinia it has never done this. It has swelled and had patches of freezing cold and burning hot all the way around it. Any ideas how it can go down? Really hurts! Thanks Love Frogga xxxxxxxxxxxx |

Hey girly!!
I dealt with this right after the RSD spread to my face... my cheeks were swollen and trying to eat was hard (that and the locked jaw!), but didn't know what to do. After a week it settled down for me. Sorry I can't offer you many tips, but I am sending lots of love your way!! ((hugs)) Love you!

Oh my goodness Vanessa! thanks for saying that ice is no good for us RSD sufferer's! My surgeon who did my Carpal tunnal surgery told me to use ice with the swelling!! no wonder, I felt worse!! yes, please send me some info on this when you can. I am sorry, Vanessa, that your having a rotten night!! Hope tomorrow finds you feeling much, much better Lady!!

Ouch. This sounds new and completely wretched. Have you tried a dab of bright pink lip gloss to distract the casual bystander? (sorry, am very useless tonight). Arnica gel? gentle hug.

How is your face now?
Last night my left cheek swelled up, and I noticed there was more pain than usual in my cheek, but didn't think anything of it (I thought "pain and more pain", but didn't think it'd look strange to anyone else). Then I was talking to my mom, and she asked me if my cheek was swollen because it looked all puffy... I looked in the mirror and sure enough! My left cheek kept swelling more and more through the night. It has calmed down some since, but I felt like I had a golf ball in one cheek... eek!  Love ya!
