Default Spread or just from being sick?

The last week I've been getting spots on my face that hurt. It's obviously a nerve, one side kind of twitches above my eyebrow and the other there is this line of pain from the edge of my lip to my cheekbone. It's not horrible (now) but more annoying.

I'm still trying to shake my cold, I've been stuffed up a lot, especially when I lie down.

I've had a little bit of tingling on that spot between the lip and cheek, but it's never been so prominent.

When I get sick, I know things flare. Will it go away (typically)? Or is this a sign of spreading?

BTW doc mentioned last time I was in that I definitly have CRPS, but she also thought I have some sort of "Central" thing going on. I assume a central nervous system issue beyond the CRPS. Since I was on my belly getting an epidural shot for the pain pump test, with somebody from Mayo with her watching it, I didn't want to press the issue.

Sometimes I get burning sensations on different parts of my body that come and go. It can also be described as a stinging sensation. I get them on my ears and my neck and near my eyes. I also have burning and stinging on the sores I get on my body, like my ears and neck and arms and back and head and buttocks. (bed sores). They come and go too. I don't know if its the rsd spreading or just nerves misfiring. I know that I have rsd spread on my limbs and stomach because I have external as well as internal symptoms and pain that never goes away. It's a contant feeling of burning and stinging. I hope you feel better soon. Take care.

I've had some odd sensations on my face at times, particularly my left cheek feeling hot and sore. My CRPS is predominantly on the left side of my body, so I worried that it was spread, but I've only had it very rarely a few times, and it hasn't progressed to the constant pain of normal CRPS areas, so I've tried to ignore it

I get some odd little nervy sensations in all sorts of places, and they aren't spread. I read that because the CRPS is sending and receiving weird signals throughout your nerves and brain, that those little odd pains or numbness or stabs or whatever are just kind of nerves misfiring rather than true spread. It's only if it becomes regular in one place, and very often, that you should start to suspect a new area of concern...

Good luck and try to smile wherever possible! Hope tomorrow is better than today

Bram.

This ugly monster that we all live with wreaks so much havoc with our immune system that it makes it hard to tell. Concentrate on getting over being sick first then if it becomes a true spread unfortunately it will stay with you. I'm sorry for your' suffering...
