Default To Desi. stopping meds

Hi Desi,

It wasmy choice to go off the meds cold turkey. The pain in my arms from the meds was too much to handle. It felt like someone was holding my arms and hands in fire. My hands didn't work. I dropped everything. It was hard but my husband took very good care of me. Thanks for being there.

Desi,
Why do you want off the Percocet? does the increase in Neurotin stop the pain more than Perc? I'm on both, and as I posted on your other post, increasing Neurotin Mon. to 600 mg, both at the same time, when I go to bed. How do you take yours? Is it normal to take 600 at one time? How does the Neurotin work compaired to perc? I know so many questions. Now that I've gotten used to the meds I can start to think again.
thanks
Mary

Hi Mary, The reason I went of the percocetts, is it dooes not do much, plus it adds to the ummmmmmmmmmmmm... er constipation of the Neurotin.. LOL :::;:: Blushing here.. LOL Yes, the Neurotin increase helps so much more. I take 300 mg. at noon and the last 300 mg. before bed.. usually at 11:00 p.m. or 12:00 A.M. Every one is different in how the neurotin works for you. 6oo mg?/ do you have to take this all at once? did your Dr. say so?? If it helps you, then, I guess it's ok if you think it helps?? Hang in there my friend!! Love, Desi
