Default Anyone else cough a lot??

Hey guys! I have been coughing a lot lately. I have not been sick, no cold or sinus infections, in a long time....thank goodness. Last night I took a breath in and got that short of breath feeling in my chest, then I started coughing and coughed hard most of the night. This afternoon, at my in-laws, I took a sip of a coke and choked. It came out my nose (yeah, nice huh?). I coughed so hard and couldn't stop for a while. I have been coughing hard ever since. There are no issues with my heart and lungs, normal EKG's and x-rays. I wonder if this has anything to do with my RSD??

I am sure this has been posted here before, so I apologize if I am repeating a thread. I just don't have the patience and energy to search right now.

Thanks!
Nanc

Hey Nanc, So sorry that is happening to you hon. I think you know that I have dealt with choking, but I have not had the cough you describe. I know how scary the choking can be. I am wondering if you are having some sort of spasm that is causing the coughing. Do you deal with spasms in other areas?

Gosh, I hope you feel better quick! Keep us posted.

Thanks Vrae! I do remember you dealing with choking, I hope it has gotten better for you. Yes, I have had spasms in other areas, specifically in my gut and lower back. I am so frustrated. And you are right, it is scary. I never choked as bad as I did this afternoon. Scared my in-laws too!

Sorry that happens. It would scare me too. No, I have not experienced anything like that. Hope it goes away.

I bet it scared everyone. Damn... Nanc, I hate that is happening. But what about the coughing? You may need to see someone soon, perhaps for both issues. Great hu? Just one more thing.

Thanks again Vrae! I see my PCP pretty much every month, I will talk to her at my next appointment. I am looking for a new PM dr again since mine pretty much sucks. He was great at one time, but when he changed practiices, he changed drastically! I did find a new neurosurgeon and he is removing both SCS's on Jan 9. There is plenty going on that I do not need this new choking and coughing crap...ugh! Yep, I am in a great mood this morning...not!
