I'm glad you're almost finished Bram. I'm getting there. I need to wrap and bag things. I need to get a few more little things and then I'm done. It's beautiful here today and feels like Spring, but there's still some snow on the ground and our tabletop tree is lit so it's starting to look a little more festive here too. I'm glad you're doing okay. Take care.

MY TREE IS DONE!!!!!
Wahey!!!! And the stairs are decorated with lights and tinsel, the big red reindeer is standing proudly on our dining room windowsill, and I have the string of lights and tinsel along the mantelpiece....it's all twinkly and lovely at last Everybody is out just for a little while, so it's just me here with five minutes to myself lol, so I thought I'd come on and wish everybody one more Happy Christmas before the madness really starts! I managed to book myself in for a last minute back massage as I've still got that pain under my left shoulder blade, and I'm not totally convinced its gastric...so I'm going to ask for a very gentle massage and see if it helps at all. Wish me luck! The leg is a bit fatter and unhappy, but we have these storms over the next week or so, so I'm not hugely surprised. Here's hoping for some calmer weather in the New Year. Take care everyone, and stay well. Enjoy the festivities as much as you can, and don't try to do everything yourselves (ladies, I'm talking especially to you ). Don't forget to take your meds.....and I hope you get some lovely relaxing sleep from time to time.... Love to everyone this Christmastide. Peace and goodwill to all Bram

I'm so glad you're tree and decorating are done. Your decorations sound beautiful. I cleaned the house finally yesterday. I had to push myself and am pretty sore today but at least it's done. My decorations are done. I just need to bag and wrap gifts and I'm done too. Thank goodness. I wish I could get a massage but my pockets are empty after all the holiday shopping. Maybe next year. I hope your massage makes you feel better. Enjoy it. You deserve to treat yourself! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas day! Take care.

SO happy for you Bram that you got all your decorating done. I hope the massage helps you and that you have a very enjoyable holiday.
Glad you're almost done with everything Renee. Having the decorations finished up is huge. Take it easy with the wrapping. I've got the day off today and I plan on doing nothing but sit around the house, chill out, and listen to holiday music. I'm hoping to get some stitching done if my hands are feeling up to it. Normally I make lots of my gifts but was not up to it this year. Maybe I can get an early start on next year's little gifts and just stash them away. Stitching up some ornaments today would make me feel good and put me in the spirit I think. Tomorrow I get to work the 4am-1pm shift and then plan on heading over to my boyfriend's mom's house to help her wrap gifts and just enjoy the evening. Normally his family does a Christmas Eve thing but it sounds like everyone is going to their in-laws on Christmas Eve and then we will all get together on Christmas day instead. My boyfriend is working the closing shift at his job (he also works retail) so he won't be home until around 8pm. He might stop by his mom's...or may just stay home and wrap whatever gifts he still has to wrap (I trust he will be finishing up his Christmas shopping tonight or tomorrow...that's fairly normal for him). There are no gifts under the tree that I haven't wrapped myself...so he has some work to do...lol! But I did do all the shopping for his mom, his brother's wives, and his nieces and nephews...so it's just gifts for his brothers and me that he needs to buy for and wrap still. Hope everyone else is doing well and is able to relax and enjoy these last few days before Christmas and of 2013. Wishing everyone the very best! |

Well done Renee and catra, sounds like you gals have things well in hand now!
Just got back from my massage...it was lovely I feel all relaxed and happy. The therapist was very good, and seemed to understand my scaled-down description of CRPS lol, and wasn't too rough with her hand movements or pressure. I did have several knots that she worked out gently (still ow-ed a bit, but not too bad), and my shoulders feel kind of level now, if you know what I mean... I must have been carrying them weirdly for a while I think. My pockets are past empty lol, this one was on Mr Barclay . Come the New Year, I am going to try and save up to have one a month, just to keep my body ticking over a bit, and not get too stressed or knotted. It was sooooooo nice - its been ages and ages since I had a treat like that! After, I took one of my students her little gift and card that she missed out on because of illness. They were so surprised, it was lovely. Nice people. Made me feel all Christmassy and hohoho Take care guys, enjoy everything you have worked so hard to create, and hope you have a fabulous time. Bram.

I love giving gifts at Christmas time...even just the Christmas cards and candy canes I handed out at work. It really gets me in the spirit and I truly do like GIVING gifts more than receiving them.
I'm so glad the massage made you feel better Bram! That's excellent and if it makes you feel better then it's worth the cost to try and go once a month. |

Merry Christmas All!
I'll be thinking of all of you & wondering how you all are getting through the holiday. By now you all feel like family to me because you all understand this aspect of life better than actual family. (Renee, I'm glad you stayed). I'm really wishing some warmth for those of you in cold places. Very busy time, think I got it all done or all i can do. All wrapped & bagged (painfully). Just need last minute gift cards to add for grown kids. Grand daughter's B.D. tonight. Hope I make it through and keep a smile on my face. You all know what I mean. So much to discuss with you guys, but no time now.
