Default I just can't take all this pain

I'm having a little breakdown which doesn't happen often. I'm balling my eyes out and have no one to talk to. Holidays always equal severe pain. I dread the holidays when it should be a happy time. I used to LOVE Christmas. It was my favorite time of the year. It's so upsetting.

I have RSD in my right foot/leg/butt along with severe back pain (not RSD related-2 separate issues). As we speak I have a severe neck pain that turns into a migraine because of arthritis in neck. I had a migraine yesterday as well. My entire body is just a mess. It usually takes 7-10 days to recover after the holidays pain wise. Sitting is what causes the RSD to flare up AND my back pain.
I have to go my migraine is getting worse.

I hope everyone is doing well!!!
Heather

I hope you can feel a bit better again soon heather, it must be miserable to feel so awful at Christmas. We do understand how helpless and frustrated you must be feeling. Just remember that this isn't your fault and that you are doing the best you can to cope with things. Hang in there

Bram.

I hope you feel better soon. I'm sorry you are in so much pain. Try to rest and give yourself a break from all of the holiday activities. You need to take care of you. I understand the meltdowns. I've had some myself and have found that taking a break from the world helps. Also the support from people here help immensely too. Take care. I hope you have a better day tomorrow.

Heather, I am so sorry you are hurting and feeling low. Is there really no one you can talk with? I thought you mentioned a brother to us ? I think all of us need to have a pain- buddy; someone who is willing to be on- call for us when we hit an unmanageable low. A friend, a neighbor, someone from church. In the meantime, you were right to reach out to us though we can not be there for you real time like we would like to be. You are strong and will move beyond this moment. Be well, Lottie

So sorry for you Heather.
How did you make it through the night?
I think stress plays a factor in all this. Holidays are stress even if some
it is good. Wish we could reach through the forum and hold a hand
or give a hug.

I hear you..I was diagnosed what was called RSD in the late 90's after several surgeries in my right foot. I had an accident at work and it crushed all the bones. I have had several different medical procedures but, nothing worked. I'm on high end narcotic pain meds and even those don't work most of the time. I'm actually addicted to them also. I get the ebbie geebies when it's time to take them. I get frustrated when I go to different doctor and they tell me "there is no such disease". I want to scream at them.
The pain is felt all over the body. like being thrown in a bed of hot coals. I've been told that I will always be in pain and now Fibro Myalgia has set in. A dose of 2 different pain related diseases.. So, I feel for you and hope you can get through this with a happy outlook on life.I know It's hard, but, you have to keep going.. Best to you.

Heather, I think all of us have had meltdowns from time to time and it's
true that stress plays a big part in our pain - you know the whole mind/body connection? And the holidays aren't fun when everyone else is going carolling and you can't go because you're in too much pain and no one really understands. I'm so sorry this is one of those times for you. (I'll write when it's a meltdown time for me!!)
after having this thing for over 17 years I'm getting really sick of it. I've had a pretty good attitude up to now but now I have pain in BOTH of my feet (one of them is RSD pain, the other isn't) it's really impacting my life more than it has in about 12 years. So I get meltdowns. Screaming and hitting the bed are rituals I sometimes engage in when I just can't take it anymore

In any case, my heart goes out to you at this time..........please take care.
Roberta
