Hi,
you can "rant" anytime you want. Have you tried a pain management doctor instead?

I take Gabapentin l(anti seizure meds to stop the pain signals from getting to the brain) which works well. Amitryplyline because I can't stay asleep as night without it. Pardon the spellings it's late lol. Morphine for the pain. As long as I stay laying down the Gab. and Morphine help a lot! I have RSD in my right foot and entire leg. That's why I have to lay down all day every day. Which I've excepted so that doesn't bother me like it used to. So those meds are the first way I deal with the pain. I also try to stay positive. The whole "It could be a lot worse" thing..etc...Another way I deal with it is to stay very busy all day. I took up hobbies that i can do laying down so I don't think about it. Having 2 very happy lovable dogs also keeps a smile on my face.

I think of life as a balancing act. I have to have good things to out weight the bad things. That's my life plan.

I have like 2 drinks a year. Drinking won't help in the long term. i think medication is a better way to go.

I hope you feel better really soon!

I have also reduced the alcohol by at least half the last two days and not touched any before 6pm I know it's only 2 days but it's a start and I actually feel better for it not only physically but mentally.

I'm not too good with words at times and cant find the right ones to thankyou all with. I hope I can return the kindness you have shown me.

Just remember We care..And we are here..We know how you feel..We are proud of you..This is a lot to deal with..But just remember,it could be worse..I remember when my oldest son had medical issues. We had to go to Albany med.childrens hosp..I always felt so bad, because my Son had this illness, but as walking down the hall I would say I am Blessed this is something small to handle..We would see children with cancer, and other bad illness. So remember ,YES things can be worse..Please Pray...Ask for guildness...

Hi Geordie,

It's tough to find ways to make it through each day with the RSD monster.

How are you doing now ?
