Default Pain &shopping

I went out shopping Saturday morning. My hubby went ice fishing so I went shopping. My pain level was high, but I really needed to get a gift for my Auntie..so anyway I went to one store, not able to find what I wanted so thought I can handle going in right out..Using wheelchair.I go in the door, pain level shot higher, stomach started in,i felt terrible.went to the ladies room..I felt like rsd runs my life..I knew I could not make it home even..I always get sick, when pain level gets high.Does anyone else?(runs)I hardly ever get out shopping I was so upset by this..After the bathroom episode I did get what I wanted, but rushed home and was in terrible pain the rest of the day..

I'm sorry your ordeal shopping was so bad. I remember days trying to get down the frozen food isle or even go near it. It would hurt so bad.
Have you discussed medication for your stomach with your dr.?
That might be an option.
Take care.

If any shopping gets done for me I have to do it. I can't just send my sons because they are way too young. I am basically a single mom. My husband is military. I know what you mean about your stomach going soud on you. It sucks. I've had days I go to the store and as soon as I get out of the truck my stomach turns. I am glad I can leave my goobers with my in laws so I can get stuff done. I keep anti diarrhea meds with me everywhere I go. I have them in an old pill bottle because of little hands. I hope this helps a little.

I'm sorry you had such a nightmare time in the shop. I hate shopping mpby myself now and rarely do it....there's a lot of 'what if's that go through your mind no matter how hard you try. I particularly have an issue with chiller aisles, they are horrific on the pain areas. I wish supermarkets were made to use chillers with doors - it would save a fortune on energy bills for them too

Hope you're starting to feel better today. Take care of yourself, and well done for going in the first place. Other folk don't realise how much bravery it takes to do something so simple...

Bram.

When my pain levels get too high...I tend to get very nauseous...but I tend to vomit vs having other issues. I think it's very common for very high pain levels to make you sick to your stomach.

My doc explained to me that it's a "body stress" that is causing one's stomach to do that. I ended up adding Zoloft to my cocktail and it's helped a ton. No more waking up every single morning with an upset stomach.

Default Pain and nausea

I can always depend on my stomach to let me know if my pain is seconds from going thru the roof. That and the panic attack...can't forget about those beauties.
I hope you're laying down, where it is nice and warm.
