I wonder if the following is a typical symptom of CRPS.
My leg feels normal when stationary. But if I flex my ankle or knee, there is an odd pressure like feeling. It feels as though my entire leg is tightly wrapped in cellophane or maybe a scuba wet suit. And whenever I move, it pushes back. Same feeling when moving my toes. Has anyone else noticed this feeling? thank gordon |

Wow Gordon that's a tough one.
My RSD/CRPS started in my arm & hand & is managed with nerve blocks & meds. My P.M. suspects itmay be spreading also to foot on same side due to symptoms simjilar to yours. The weird thing is when RSD/CRPS was firsr dx'd in my arm & hand it was EXCRUCIATING & very, very obvious with all the the symptoms!! The suspected spread to foot on same side is different. My left ankle area is only redish and mottled, I can still walk on it as it is mildly crampy, with transient sharp pains. It feels like someone is standing on my foot as I walk but I still can do it & I know I MUST keep it moving!! But I wonder like you because my symptoms in my foot are more threatening than blatently obvious like my hand.

CRPS affects my ankles too! The wet suite example is a good way to describe it. The pain is at its' worse when I stand or try to walk...

Good description Gordon, I get the tight wet-suit feeling on my knee, it's worse when there's swelling, but I still get it when the swelling is minimal. I've also had it across my foot where I have no swelling.
