Default pain with limited meds.

well I am at witts end..I had meds. that were helping take the edge off,but now new insur... will not pay for it..I cannot afford it..So they have me try something that I had before..Made me have heartburn bad,and my stomach was knotting up and burning.so went off that..trying to get old meds..back so far no..I had to go back to work today..All sorts of pain..could not take hydro.. because I had to drive my-self..Felt like crap..Pain level 10...felt dizzy, and sick..Went home called PM ,,no call back..So I take hydro..Still feeling about 9 right now,and Guess What??? get to go back and do it all over again tomorrow..My skin on fire, pain in hip and knee and bottom of my foot..Right side,,but then it started in left hip too..I am so tired of these waiting games and meds..I am waiting for appointment for trail stimulator ..still nothing..waiting on 3 weeks..I hate going to work like this..I feel like I am suffering to force my-self to go..sorry but had to vent..

So sorry you are suffering. You are so brave facing work while in pain. I did it for years and understand the challenges. I wish you wellness ~Lottie

Hey moosey! So sorry you are having such a rough time. To have meds that helped and now not be able to get them...that has to be awful! Have you filed an appeal with the insurance company? Have your doctor submit a letter with the appeal listing the meds you have tried and failed. Insurance companies can be such a pain (pardon the pun) about medications.

It shouldn't take so long for an appoointment for the trial stim...I would be calling them and bugging the crap out of them.

I admire you for still working. I know it is especially difficult working when you can't take anything. There is nothing I can take that helps my pain, so I worked through it all too. I stopped working at the end of Dec 2012 because I just could not take it any longer. Work had short-term and long-term disability insurance. I was denied several times and finally won my appeals in Dec 2013 (took a year!). I was approved for SSD on the first application and within three months....thank goodness! Does your employer have short-term/long-term disability insurance?

Good luck with everything. Try to remain calm (haha...yeah right huh?) so your BP doesn't keep going up!

That's a good one..Well went to work after 4.5 hours of sleep..Felt like crap..You know its so weird..I go and then about 45 minutes down the road,I feel light headed, sleepy, and almost a high feeling..I wait and take my meds. When I get back home..See I work 6:15-8:45,,then 1:25 -3:30..My husband drive us to work in pm..So I can take my hydro..my BP is aliitle better..Could still come down more..You know the more things bother me,the more it hurts and the bP goes up..so I try to stay away from some people that bug me..
I hope you are doing ok..Anything new with you?hows the weather treating you???Thank you

Hey moosey hang in there me old mucker, I know this is a really tough time for you, but I just hope that something changes for the better soon and you can get some control back over this little cripsy monster...

Glad you are keeping away from as much stress as you can, the BP thing is horrible on top of everything else. Do the deep breathing exercises and try some nice candley calm time with some soothing music and positive drifting type thoughts.

I'm not sleeping well at the moment either, I chuckled in a slightly insane rueful way when I read your post on the lightheaded feeling. It comes over you in drifts doesn't it? Really disorientating and almost makes me feel dizzy. I'm in bed a lot at the moment with my back, and sometimes my husband will gently have to remove my book or iPad or cup of tea from my hands where I've just zonked out. No disasters yet, but it's a close thing lol. I admire you still working moosey, good on you. it's so hard at times, but fighting to keep that independence is good for your own sense of worth and morale I think.

Here it comes again....so weird....like a weight dragging my head down all of a sudden, and those heavy heavy eyelids just don't want to stay open...crumbs I'm fed up with it. Hang in there moose. I'm thinking of you and hoping for better for you.

Bram

moosey2me, if I may ask, why is your insurance denying you your doctor's prescription?
