Default Petechiae?

Does anybody get petechiae easily? I had to have blood work done and both arms are affected by RSD, so I don't have a choice in picking a different spot. But have the band around my arm caused a ton of petechiae around my arm and even sometimes when they take my blood pressure the cuff will cause it.

Btw-Petechiae is when blood pulls to the skin and its a bunch of little dots.

Nope. Just had some blood work done to rule some things out, so it should be able to tell if theres anything going on with my blood count. Specifically checking my red and white blood cells.

Even medications like Ibuprofen, Aspirin or Naproxen can cause this. Some people are just more prone to getting them than others. It would be a good idea to bring this to the attention of your GP or internal medicine doctor if you have one but I wouldn't let it worry you unless you are getting very easy bruising or have vascular problems.

I don't take any OTC meds. I saw my pcp today and given the reason why she wanted the blood work I will be letting her know about it. Ive had vascular problems before because I have TOS. But hopefully the blood work will give an answer. Was just really hoping some of the symptoms that have been going on were RSD related.

Wishing you quick answers to your symptoms.

Are you sure that the redness you are seeing is Petechiae? Where my CRPS I have small red dots all over for which my doctors call a vascular rash or neurogenic rash. Could that be what you have or is it petechiae like you sometimes see on a persons face?
