On another thread there is a discussion of Neurontin and other medications giving people sugar cravings.
It's really interesting for me to see these posts of "munchies." I have the opposite problem. For about the last three to four years, I have had no appetite for the majority of the time. It's not nausea or anything like that, I just don't feel like eating. My wife would get mad at me for not eating much, but I was basically eating simply because I knew I needed to. I still love to cook and bake, and there are times that I enjoy the taste of a well-made dinner. But I sure don't eat as much as I should, unless I deliberately make myself. I lost 45 lb in about 5 months and needed a whole new wardrobe. Even the doctors told me to watch my weight. I have since stabilized, but I still eat only because it's time to sit down and dine with the family. I am on so many different medications, and they have changed a lot (because of experimentation) since this started, but the reduced appetite stays the same. Any "munchie" people want to get together and see if we can work out an average? ![]() Mike |
