Hi all,
My name is Matthew and I have a wife and 3 young kids. I have been recently diagnosed with crps after breaking my right fib and dislocating my ankle on 30 December 2013. An operation on 31 December resulted in 2 screws holding my ankle together. I had 6 casts in 6 weeks due to swelling and then developed infections in the wound. It is almost 4 months and the original operating site has not yet healed. I am weaning myself off the prescribed pain relief due to the horrible side effects. But that in itself has side effects as well. Most of the doctors here have not heard of crps and as such have no idea how to handle it. Reading through the posts here, it appears that I have a long way to go before I can get on the right side of things. Any advice or suggestions from any of you are greatly appreciated. I need to get back to a position of being a husband and father again. Thanks, Matthew |
