Hi Nanc! As always, thank you so much for the advice! It means so much! I wish it wasn't 1½ hours roundtrip and a driver needed for sedation..ugh! And this pain in my neck. I can see where this will get old too. I don't know. I do know that my arm feels so much better today than it did pre-injection Tuesday. I just don't know that it's realistic to keep running every week (after #6), trying to arrange a ride and all. Perhaps at some point this will all be clear to me (what to do).

Best of luck today Nanc! Please keep us posted hon!!

Hi everyone!

I thought I would button up this thread.
So I did 5 of the 6 Bilateral Lumbar Sympathetic Blocks and Stellate Ganglion Blocks. They would do them at the same time. I did them back to back for 5 weeks. It became clear to me that the block was only lasting about 5 days max. I think it helped my legs more than my arms. And never did I get more relief than the very first one (LSB) I received.

With regard to the SGB, I’m not sure those were doing a darn thing for me, but I went with it anyway. My neck is still somewhat recovering (weird spasms). Nothing too crazy and slowly going back to “normal”, which is only a setting on my washing machine!

I did a follow up with the PM doc and he agreed with my cancelling the final block. We then discussed a few more options. I ask him about doing a nerve root block. WAAAAY back in 2004 after my surgery, the surgeon told me he overstretched my nerve root S1. I would like to block the S1 and just see if it will help. At least before we move on to implantables (e.g. SCS).

I go see my Neuro doc on Monday.. or at least I have an appt. I am coming down with a chest cold so we will see how I feel come Monday.

Anyway.. so that’s it. I gave it go, thought it was working, but turns out.. not so much. Damn.
