Hi Dhall and sorry your dealing with scs ,I had mine for more than a year now, such of pain that you can compare to anything ,first 3 months are the hardest but depending on how much you rest and take pain killers it will get better soon if not like me ,will take you long time and might ended with problems in your pocked that holds your generator,so get a good follow up from your pm dr,is essential ,I had to repositioned after a year for the pain, anxiety attacks ,panic attacks and stress that created me for long time. Also if you suffer of hb pressure ,for sure pain make it worse, don't ignore the pain, try to handle it as much as possible,I did not know that after a year and also had few weeks ago a gallbladder removal surgery so had to recover from scs replace on my abdomen and the new incisions from the gallbladder surgery, pain had to be in the lowest level
Also, keep your scs signal the lowest frequent possible ,ask your rep about it to avoid nerve pain and you can heal faster, also ask for sticky patches to recharge your scs generator instead of using the belt, pressing the battery with the belt causes more discomfort and sometimes even flare ups, obviously bp and anxiety will increased, talk to your dr and rep at the same time ,they need to documented all side effects, good luck, from Jesika
Ps incisions sides can hurt even after a year, but everyone is different and heal as well different ,try to rest and have good communication with your dr and rep.
