Question question about blocks

hi again, i'm wondering if anyone has had a cervical sympathetic nerve block? i had a stellate ganglion block done almost two weeks ago and it was AWFUL the doc didn't use fluoroscopy and i swear it felt like he was digging in my neck, he actually hit the nerve to hand twice! he acted surprised when it happened. anyway, not sure if he got it in right place, he says my eye was droopy but when i got home and looked in the mirror it didn't look droopy or red to me and i didn't get any warm feeling in my hand or arm. Sooooo, now he wants to do the cervical sympathetic block and i'm not sure if i'm going to let him. thinking about going somewhere else. does anyone know of good doc close to or south of chicago? thinking about going to rehab institute of chicago or rush. i don' t really know what to do but feel like i need to do something! thanks for listening and any info, advice. jennifer

hey jennifer. i go to a clinic in champaign. i have had 6 blocks so far and altho not pleasant, i have had decent results. i don't always have the rush of warmth, but the RSD pain seems to have subsided. PM me if you want any more info.

good luck!
