Help The Flu and CRPS / RSD

Have you noticed that your CRPS / RSD symptoms are exacerbated by the Flu. I know that naturally you would just feel worse, but my symptoms actually get worse. My pain levels increase dramatically.

I have tried to avoid a nasty bug floating around my house, but it seems it has finally gotten me... ugh! and wow.. I really, really hurt.

As you know CRPS weakens our immune systems too. It's not enough that we get bugs easier but when we do the effects are multiplied greatly. Like going for a ride on the marry-go-round of pain which isn't so marry. Round and round we go, where it stops nobody knows.
You take care of yourself girl and be safe...

I've noticed when I get sick or have other health problems, the effects of those problems are multiplied greatly too. I'm sorry you have the flu Vrae. I hope you feel better soon. Try to get some rest and don't forget to pamper yourself. You deserve it.

Yeah, I just got over a cold & it's hard to describe how it
felt intensified. The flu has to be a bear! For immune support
take zinc, selenium & ESPECIALLY VIT. C! if your stomach will
keep it down. Hope you feel better soon!

Sorry Vrae,I do know for sure flu symptoms are worst with rsd,I should said rsd get worst ,thbody achingly are so bad, bone pain, hot flushes ,yeah I get you.
the only thing that works for me is oranges ,mandarins, hot chicken soup and mucinex max syrup with acetaminophen ,helps with Fever, congested nose, chest, body aching, but be careful ,has acetaminophen on it,so is a combination of robitussin max and acetaminophen in one med,if you have reactions to acetaminophen ,is not recommended, also careful with your other pain meds, interacts with any other anti inflammatory drugs.always check with your dr or pharmacist before start any new medication .
Hope you feel better soon, relax ,rest and use Lysol or Clorox spray to kill the germs in the house,do what's best for you.blessing from Jesika .

Hey Vrae sorry you are sick. Funny, I am just getting over some kind of viral, I don't know if it was the flu or what. The fatigue kicked my butt for a week. And my Type II cold crps leg was burning! Hasn't felt like that since the first six months. I'm guessing it was generalized increased inflammation from the virus. And the worst part was that the sneezing and coughing were mild so my family.didn't think I was all that sick. I kept powering through till I collapsdd in bed. Not good.

Hi Vrae

I hope you are feeling better by now.

I've got flu at the moment and main pain levels are definitely through the roof. I also think my flu symptoms are worse though that is difficult to know.

Because I have the best luck, my husband has pneumonia now. We really need to start timing our illnesses better. Grrr.
