thank you joan,
It still hurts today but i was able to get to the bathroom with one crutch. The problem for me is that with no car, I couldn't drive anyways, I have to wait until my daughter has a day off to get to Baystate Hosp. I don't trust the one here. Its only 15 min. away but you have to sit ther all day and with her job and the kids she always has something to do. She's coming here Friday. My little William is turning 3. I might have her take me then. I have to cook for the party on Sat. I hope by then my foot is better. Iam glad to here your toe is somewhat better. It seems that my toes hurt the worst more than anything and thats when things are "normal". Take care!

Love Sue

hi sue,
may i say i am NOT an ER person, but always call my primary care doc. i think it is safer, and if you need to seek hospital care, he can call ahead and tell them you are coming ... then you will not have to wait but go right to x-ray or where ever you need to go.
i will say a prayer for you my hip sister! and hope you are better for the party. the big three! how fun.
hey, my toes hurt the worst too! then the foot tingling drives me coo coo second! i took my grandson who lives here school shopping today and my feet are electrical tonight, i bet i could light a bulb! i think i got the best of the toe nail thing though, thank God.
well, get better my friend. love, joan

Hi Joan,
I am not a big er person either, but thats where my pain dr. works out of. They would send me there anyways. They are so booked with appts. that I would have to wait until the 13th to see them. They are the only ones I trust with the RSD problem. A dr. from the office is always at the Hosp. so they can just call them down to see me. Its amazing to me that we have the same problems. My toes are the worst. I always say that they are sreaming!
I can't belive that my baby is going to be 3. It seems like yesterday he was just starting to walk. His sister is 4 mo. and just started day care. I was watching her, but I just can't do it anymore. She's getting too big. Her father is 6ft. something and weighs about 250 lbs. My william lookes like he is 5yrs instead of 3. I wish I could show you a picture of them all. Hows your daughter? I hope she is ok. I know what its like to carry twins in the summer.
I wish her well. I like that hip sister thing. Thats what we are!

Love Sue

Hi Sue,
Oh Yes, That Is How I See My Boston Doctor ... Between Surgeries At The New England Baptist Hospital. I Go Through The E.r. Too But I Call Ahead So He Knows I Am Coming Up. So You Will See Someone Good. That Is Good. Are You Any Better???
So Your Grandchildren Are Little ... Three And Four Months? So Precious. William Is One Of The Middle Names My Daugther Has Picked For The Twins. Conner William. The Other Is Caleb, But No Middle Name Yet. She Is Doing Well, And May Start To Cut Down Her Hours At Work In An Week Or So. She Is A Psychiatric Nurse Who Goes House To House, So The Stairs And The In And Out Of The Car, Are Starting To Get To Her. She Is Growing For Sure! They Increased Her Insulin A Bit More This Week. But She Is Eating Well And Looks Good, Just Tired. I Am Hoping The Doctor Will Tell Her To Slow Down So She Will ... He Tells Her To Nap And She Laughs ... She Tries To Go Home Between Patients And Rest But She Doesn't Always Make It.
Did You Notice How Many People Aare Reading Our Little Thread? Over 1300 Now! Wow. We Are Interesting I Guess. Well, Our Histories Are, That Is For Sure.
So The Toes Are Not Screaming Today ... But Yes, I Know That Howl!
Let Me Know How You Are. And Enjoy The Birthday!
Love, Your Hip Sister, Joan

Hi Joan,
Yes I noticed how many people are reading our posts. I hope that they know that they can post on our thread. I like reading other posts and like talking to other people on here. I love the friendship that I have found in you. Like I told you before, you are the only person I know who knows what my life has been like from the beginning. You are a good friend.
I have 3 other grandkids, Alex is 8, Jocelyn is 4 and Ariana just turned 6. Two boys and 3 girls, I told my daughters thats enough. My twins turn 27 in Sept. Jennifer has 2 kids, Alex and Jocelyn, Nicole has one child Ariana. She has alot of problems having children and was told this year that she won't be able to have anymore. But they are all so close. The kids see each other everyday so Ariana has alot of company. Danielle my baby is 23 and has William and Kaitlyn. The whole tribe will be together for the party on Saturday. They all have alot of fun together. It should be crazy. I remember trying to get in and out of the car when I was carrying the twins. I had to stop driving because my stomach would not fit with the steering wheel in the way. God bless her, I hope she has an easy time of it. I was like a beach ball.
Hope your well. Oh I forgot, my foot is feeling a little better today!

Love, your Hip Sister
Sue

Hi Sue,
i'm on my way to bed early tonight and just thought i'd check and see if you posted about your leg and i'm glad you did, and i'm very glad the leg is better.
i also enjoyed hearing about all the grandchildren. we even have that in common ... all the kiddos!! I had my sons boys today, Owen is 7, and Aidan is 5. it is their mother's son who lives with me. his father died when he was 2 and my son adopted him when they married when he was 5, but he was having big problems living home and making life unbearable for everyone. So, he has been here almost 6 month and is doing fine, she took him to a movie today and then came back and we ordered pizza for them and salads for us. my husband is at the Paw Sox tonight so it worked out well. it turned out to be one of the best visits for everyone so i guess i am making headway with him, oh his name is Jordan and he is 14. then, my daughter's sons are, Seth 19, Joshua 17, Matthew 15, and of course, the twins on the way ... so that is all of them.
so hope you have fun at the birthday party and don't over do and get that leg acting up again. but if you, there is always Sunday to rest! i'm a firm believer to overdo when it is for a good cause! ha!
love your hip sister, Joan

Hi Joan,
I'ii be moving sooner than I thought!!! I can't wait.Things are very stressful around here. My sister is at it again. She went back to my newphews father for about 2 weeks and then out of the blue she sid she wanted to be single. The poor guy is heartbroken. But shes not single, the whole time she was still seeingher ex-husband. I don't know whats wrong with her. last night my husband wanted to go out to dinner, so we took my nephew and his father. We all needed to get away from this stress and we had a wonderful time.We can't really be spending money like that, but we needed to get out. When we got home she was so mad. Now she won't talk to any of us. She even took down the pictures of my nephew in her bedroom and threw them on the floor and then slammed the door. I don't know what happened to my sister. She wasn't always like this. I just want to know what happened to my sister, the one I knew before. But some good news. the guy that is leaving the apartment is leaving some of his furniture. I didn't have any thing so this is great. I bought some things like dishes, a coffee maker etc. Now all I need is towels. I've been getting things each week, so I wouldn't have to do it all at once. The party was fun. Of course I over did it. I don't see the other kids so much so they were all over my husband and me. But it was nice to have everyone together. Iam sorry that this is so long. I consider you my friend and I needed to talk to someone. The new meds are working. for the first time
my pain level where the nerve is damaged was gone. my pain level was at zero. Ican't remember the last time that happened.
I hope your well. Thanks for letting me vent. 10 more days till moving day !!!

Love, your hip sister
Sue

oh sue, i do not mind at all when you vent. whatever is wrong with your sister is something she will have to work out. sounds like she thinks the grass is greener everywhere she is not! it is rough sometimes to see the choices people we love make as adults. i'm sorry for that for you. she may get over it as she gets older but you have enough to worry about with you and hubby so just pray and let God work on it. that is what i do, that way i feel i am helping somehow.
i am very happy to see you are moving soon and getting some furniture too. see, you had a good outlook and things turned out okay. and now we can say," i can do anything for 10 days!!!!!". that sounds easy now.
and your pain is better too. you are doing super!!! a pain level of zero is just wonderful.
so the party was good and you had kids all around. it does not get better than that.
love, you 'hip' sister, Joan

Hi Joan,
I've been sick with a cold and some kind of stomach virus for the last 2 days. I tried to go on the computer yesterday but after a couple of minutes I was worn out. No sleep either. The birthday party was great but thats how I got this thing. But it was worth it. I hope things are good with you. Gotta go lay down again.

Love Sue
