Default connected or not

Hi all hope you are all as well as can be expected.I have not posted here in a while but have been looking in as I was in a dark place anyhow im through that at the minute and been getting out and about among people a bit more. The reason I am posting is something new is happening and I dont know if it is connected or not to this awful beast.
When I go to bed at night just about to drift over and bang it hits me most nights.its like a sudden jolt to my upper body and heart starts racing, It only lasts seconds but is quite frightening.
I have not had any meds changed lately and this does not seem to be listed as a side effect of any of my meds
Does anything like this happen to anyone else here or that you have heard of?I dont want to go to gp as im sure he thinks I am just a pain in his ****. My meds are
Gabapentine duluxitine amatriptoline temazepam and dmso50%.

Thankyou in advance

Hola Geordie. I have experienced similar type jolts over several different contexts both RSD related and otherwise. Can you pinpoint more specifically where they are occuring?

Your question caught my attention. I will attempt to explain what may be happening and yes, I do believe it is related.

Ok, first off, we deal with an unimaginable amount of pain on a daily basis. More pain than most could imagine. Right?

But, then night time comes, and we are still suffering, but we attempt to relax to go to sleep. Well, I believe you were feeling the sensations that can lead up to an out of body experience, if you choose.

I have had several out of body experiences now, and it is related to my CRPS.
Plus, in doing some research, illness is a prerequisite for out of body experiences.

I hope I don't come off as crazy. I too will get some jerks, and my heart starts racing, at this point I try to remain very calm and my body will start to vibrate!
Then, I will myself to be above my bed and it happens.
It can be a lot of fun.

My take on all of this? I think our mind and body may want to separate at times, to give you a break. Cause I never feel pain during an out of body experience.
And yet, I feel pain in almost all my dreams.

Anyway, please do let me know what you think about all this?
Thanks,
Wendy

Just wanted to add, the next time you get these sensations, stay very calm. Know that you will be ok. And it you are really up for adventure, try to get out of body when you feel the strong vibrations. Good luck!

Hey Wendy that's one of the things I was going to suggest...

At least now with 2 people on the OBE thing it will seem like it's/we're less nuts They could also be kundalini related symptoms.

Off the metaphysical side of things, it could very easily be a "simple " CRPS electric shock type of deal.

The way you describe it Geordie - specifically the fact that it is right before sleep - really resonates with Firedancers's pre-OBE "diagnosis."

Seriously ,we are all belong to the same page from same book.
I kind of think is most your body expressing and realizing it's anxiety.many times we never experienced anxiety and don't have an idea how anxiety is.
Recently I was encounter with Some crazy nights ,hearing a radio signal from those old radios back on the 30's and asked my husband to tell his dad to disconnected the radio at nighttime ,well I walked my self around the house but no one I the whole house was even watching. TV at all.my house is kind of big so I checked all the rooms and nothing .
Came back to my room ,I dint heard anything until a lay down and again the noise was there,I sit down and was trying to focus on the noise and where it was coming from, well was from my ceiling fan, I don't know why that's happening but still happens ,my heart was kind of getting hard and fast beating and sweats was running so often, decided to call my dr ortho who was the dr I trusted the most and he recommended me turn off the fan just for that night and see what happens and see him ASAP next day.
During my visits he explained how the brain is looking for a way out to get some relief of constant sending pain signals 24/7 and nothing was actually relaxing that part of my body so he told me that is called anxiety and gave me an anxiety pill for night time and also try to relax before bed, with rsd is not easy but I tired few times and realized it was true.
Our bodies expressed their tension in a way we don't recognize and we don't know what's going on, an overacting brain gets so tired and tries to rest, meditation was for me a way to get some relax point and also once in a while the anxiety pill, guys,my radio is from the 30' at least something more modern I wouldn't mind at all.
Rest and relax is essential ,is hard but we can deal with pain,we can find some relaxation or distract our brain from pain, there must be something we all love to do and gave us some comfort, try to focus a little on something nicer, and hope our radios, dreams ,our bodies on vibrating mode ,heart palpitations will give us a break soon, takes time but we can do it, and not we are not crazy,is our brain talking to us and it's saying help me to get some rest!!!
Gentle hugs and lots of caring loving vibes, don't get my radio ok?is real annoying Jesika .

Ok so I am not crazy I called it a full body hiccup. I told my private doctor and she said not to worry that even she does that at times. Now that I know I might be able to experience an out of body adventure maybe I will focus on that. I just got upset originally because I wanted to sleep and couldn't . I hear humming and see lights come on and off by themselves in my house. I just think my house is haunted though. I do remember when this hiccup thing was happening. I was really tired and stressed having a lot of pain and just plain sick with tummy troubles.

Glad to hear you are doing alright! I happened to think of OBE because I tend to do that fairly often. I had a near death experience several years ago, and now I can lucid dream, and even go OBE and astral when I'm lucky.

Either way, I hope you are feeling well and are able to rest peacefully. Can't be easy with CRPS and a haunted house!

Hugs,
Wendy

thank you for your reply's

visioniosiv mainly my chest that i feel the jolt i can only describe it as like i would think the paddles to restart the heart would be like,
Firedancer i dont think you are crazy whatsoever i think you may be on to something, due to the pain we go through on a daily basis it kinda makes some sense. It is not a vibration type thing though just like a single shock.

eevo yes i can relate to the anxiety as the pain psychologist i have been seeing has that in her reports although i did not realize i had that at the time and im always waiting for something bad to happen.

phaedra i also was quite stressed for a while when this first started and the experience made me more stressed to begin with,How this condition we have can turn our life upside down is unbelievable

Keep, the hope and patient ,we all react so different but at the end we suffer from same pain ,we all hope to be fine, but episodes in our life's like this make us realized the brain is so,powerful and we need somehow to regain control little bit at the time. Don't worry we do understand and we do suffer those awful and sometimes funny moments but we at the same time are here to support and give comfort to each other.
Gentle hugs and lost of love,Jesika .
