Hello all

I don't have RSD but other very painful conditions. I have a physiatrist who does indeed employ mind body techniques. Everything from massage, Yoga, wax, meditation, acupuncture, and anything else she can figure out how to help. Even reading certain passages from spiritual leaders is in her office.
If anyone knows more about what we can do to help ourselves, please post your results and what you have done. Pain is pain, if it is CPRS, back trouble, illness, we all need help with the pain, and not necessarily all the drugs.

I also think the connections we make right here with each other, helps. I will keep you in my thoughts. ginnie:hug:

I just started seeing a Pain psychologist who's specialty is Mind-Body therapy. She teaches diaphramatic breathing, self hypnosis, mindfulness, etc.

She recommended an app called Insight Timer which is a meditation app. I'm just starting to use it, but for a free app it seems pretty good.

I am and have been aware of the ZEN healing method... I have been using it since i was a preteen... it helps with the dealing with pain but I have never seen a remission of pain nor a complete elimination of pain . that would require a couple of things... 1. That RSD was just in your mind
2. complete and total focus on meditation all the time
3. the time to be able to be completely and totally focused
.. believe it or not even those whom dedicate their lives to this have not achieved total pain elimination that I've known of.. but like I said it helps tons .. it is worth trying it out... it helps me keep a cap on the pain so I do not always go over the 10 line, unfortunately the meds I have to take make it impossible to really focus . good luck to all those trying it out. and if you want look up the book of ZEN, or the Art of the Body and Mind....
