Default Hi Dana,

I hope it does work for you. I was wondering if when people get the SCS implanted are they able to go off of all of their meds or if they still have to keep taking them? Do you know?

Good luck with the trial.

Ada

Hi Ada,
I know some people have gone off meds totally and some still have to take some, but less than before the SCS.
I'm sorry you are suffering so much with the CFS and pain.
Hope

Well, I made it thru the surgery. I was not told that I would be awake for half of it until I was in the OR, so I wasnt a very happy camper at that moment. It is still to early to tell if it is working because of all the pain associated with the surgery. I am hurting worse today than I was yesterday, but I wont tell Robin that. She is already really upset about this all to begin with. She told me yesterday before I went back that she loves me and cant stand to see me in pain but will be by my side as long as it takes. So that made me extremely happy! Right now though it hurts to even move so I am going to get off of here and go lay back down(well try to) I am not suppos3d to bend or anything so it is really hard at that moment to do much of anything. I will keep you all posted on how I am doing, THANK YOU all for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers!!!!

Dana,
glad that everything went as well as can be expected. I hope you start to feel better soon. Just do everything the doc has told you to do. Now is not the time to try to do more...give it time

They had me up so I could tell them if they had t in the right place. I am still trying to get used to it running. It makes me feel really weird. it is kinda like the feeling you get when you foot falls asleep and it forst starts waking up. ok well I am going to lay back down.....

Default HI Dana,

I'm glad that you came through the surgery ok even though they kept you awake through it. I'm glad I'm always knocked out through mine. I would have a panic attack if they kept me awake. You must be one strong person.

I am anxious to see how it works for you, I hope good. I will never get it done but I'm just interested in knowing that it does good for people.

My implant goes off every 10 seconds out of every 5 and it makes my voice go down. I laid awake last night and listened to it once to see how it sounds. It's kind of like a vibrating noise. So far I haven't noticed any change since we turned it up yesterday evening but it's early yet.

According to what I am feeling now, I think you will get use to what it does. Just give it time and relax. When I'm stressed I notice mine more.

Keep us up on how it is doing. Good luck with it.

Ada
