Thanks everyone. My surgery was scheduled for 3 weeks out. Still nervous but surgeon is very conservative which is good. I have now had 3 PM docs say they don't believe I have rsd based on physical exam snd other tests neurologist was inconclusive 2 podatrists also say doubtful of rsd. Bone scan was abnormal but radiologist report said due to fracture healing from surgery with hardware implanted, infection or hardware loosening. Unlikely crps. I think we have checked off as much as we can and now surgery seems like next step to hopefully get relief.

Will ask surgeon if he wants nerve blocks as precautions before/during surgery when I see him next week.

Thanks for all the info everyone.

Surgeons thought is my issues could be bone spur pressing on nerve with changed angle of my toe following hardware implant, nerve wrapped on scar tissue and/or surgical nurse was too aggressive with retraction during first surgery. I am now using different surgeon who is familiar with rsd and of course feet. Should have done better research before first surgery. Hard lesson learned always get second or even third opinion before surgery.

Glad to hear they don't think it's rsd, and I hope everything goes well and the surgery gives you the relief you're looking for! Sounds like you and the doctors have done their homework. It's wonderful when you can find a doctor who takes their time instead of just rushing another patient through and out the door.
