I'm noticing when I write, I'm dropping words, typing the same word twice in a row, and exchanging closely related words. It's been happening for a few years, but it seems to be getting worse. I usually catch the mistakes when I proofread, but when I'm tired, I don't always catch them.
Those of you that have had RSD related cognitive issues, did you undergo any testing? Is there anything that can be done? |

I deal with the same thing. When it started i thought i was going crazy. Misspelling things when i was handwriting something, typing errors, and when i would speak multiple words for the same thing would come colliding out into some mispronounced mumbo jumbo. The neurologist i saw sent me for a neuropsych evaluation. In the end i was told its anxiety. Now several years later, my mind goes blank and i cant remember what i did last weekend, mothers day, or what that little thingamajig is called. Instead of anxiety its become brain fog. And im not a senior citizen yet!
When the craziness started though i remember becoming very sensitive to bright sunlight, bouts of dizziness, trembling in my hands, and i developed gastro intestinal trouble. Looking back, i think thats when crps really took hold migrating from one region n going more systemically. Hopefully this is not your case. |

The writing issues are getting worse though... Maybe it's just more difficult for me to ignore? |

Thank you for bringing up the cognitive issue. I noticed my brain freezing, particularly when my pain is stronger. I found the following website which has a free test: http://www.foodforthebrain.org/alzhe...-the-test.aspx The fifteen minute test is well designed and worth taking. The results are clearly explained followed by lifestyle, food, supplement recommendations for improving brain function. The downside is you have to create an account. |
