Thanks for the update Enna. I've been wondering how that was going for you. Sounds like very slowly. I'm glad you a trying to chew at least one meal a day. I agree that lit love had a good point. Please try to stay as creative as you can with the one meal so that you can get some nutrient variety. Hang in! ~mac

Just chit chat about my progress. I told a friend about the benefits of white tea. Anyway, she drinks hers straight. Since with black tea I always had it with milk....I decided to try white tea. Well, I couldn't find it plain so I got it with plum.
Not bad with out even honey. I am going to use it in my pm smoothie. I sub apple for orange juice, but still a lot of sugar. Especially since I add yogurt. And like I mentioned my only sugar is in am coffee creamer and ensure.
Any who the cravings are going down. I drink my smoothie about 430 pm so by 6 I start dreaming about pizzas......
Thanks for letting me chat....it helps.:grouphug:

The fruity white and green teas really are yum. Glad you found something you like.

I will dream of pizzas with you. Since all this I have become really sensitive to anything with tomatoes (I vasodilate and my foot turns red). Oh the sacrifices we have to make!

Aww thanks....for dream pizza......thin crust......:p
I wanted to say last summer I was a green tea drinker.....but I notice more petechiae dots on my skin....little research and green tea could be, emphasis on could be, the cause. Now white tea is of the same family so I might be in the same boat.

Enna,

Since this started I noticed I have petechia all over. I do not drink much green tea.

Yeah, mine seemed to have gotten worse.....green tea or spreading CRPS? Dunno. But now with lack of food choices I thought I would try white tea because not as bitter as black tea.

Not wanting to put pressure on that molar, I continue to have a very small chewing soft meal w my front teeth. This fatigues my jaw very much. But like lit love mentioned I cant stop chewing altogether.
The rest of the day is just one ensure and one large smoothie.
No additional sugars besides creamer (ie no baked dounuts , apple muffins etc) I miss bread. A lot.
Thanks again for all the love and advice.:grouphug:

Enna, Can a dentist help you get the physical part of your jaw straightened out for you Or an Orthodontist? The reason I ask is, forever is a long time to have to eat foods that can't be chewed. Or am I missing something here? I know of some of my friends have had to get their jaws broken and reset so the teeth in their mouths lined up properly. I know it is not your goal to have your teeth lined up like theirs were, but, My point was that such things as breaking the jaw and reseting it to function properly can and does happen for people, from what I've heard from friends.

Sadly Spike no......see, I already had my jaw reconstructed. They can't add teeth to that part of my mandible. Now, CRPS is dissolving my molars. There is nothing on the opposite side to latch a partial to. If I have a post put in....because of using one side to chew, the risk is very high to having them fake teeth break.
So goodbye pizza.....seriously, at least I didn't deprive myself in t he past....and hello smoothies......soft food...crying over ribs....hey wait I haven't had those since the first surgery. Thus, I am good and yes this is for the rest of my life.....wonders how good that burger must have been.:D

This food journey is rough.....due to a discount on special k shakes I purchased hastely 4 boxes......something is missing in the taste.....so I thought what else besides fruit can I add...cinnamon, almond extract.....hopefully this will boost up the flavour.
My noon meal continues to be a challenge but I think if I continue to put more thought into it, this too shall be a helathy routine.
I haven't check my weight so I can't say how much I lost since it really wasn't about the weight in the beginning.
Trying to stay healthy .....trying to keep up the fight......

Update

I did something strange this weekend. I got very overwhelmed and started walking in circles. And didn't realize I was. I just wanted some cheese, good cheese, and a couple of people were playing catch up.....so I waited but I guess I started to circle around and I ended up with no cheese. My poor hubby came a running and was like are you okay? I am like sure, fine why? And he looks into the cart and no cheese. I wonder if this is the ldn.?.
Also I finally weighed myself.... I lost 10-12 pounds already. I was disappointed cuz I thought I had to have lost more. Then to the rescue come my husband who was like that is a heck of a lot of weight to lose in such a short time frame.
So as my journey continues, I have a goal of 8 more pounds and that should be enough.(dunno if my lack of eating will stop at 8 but I don't want to lose anymore than 8)
Even though I don't have any snacks, salty or sweet, I think I am consuming too much sugar still. My fruits for the smoothies..creamer and ensure.....any help to reduce these sugars appreciated.:grouphug:
