Thumbs up I highly recommend Dr. Jerome Groopman's books and articles!

Here is his site:
http://jeromegroopman.com/
His article archive:
http://www.jeromegroopman.com/articles.html

I read his book "Second Opinions" and found it VERY well written! It was so good and completely convinced me that second opinions in any situation above a minor cold is a good idea. My mom read his book "How Doctors Think" and she loved that one as well.

Just wanted to recommend this site and these books to you all.
