Exclamation Lyrica and mouth sores??????

Hello yall I have been on Lyrica for about 3 weeks now. Two days ago I started with sores in my mouth. Right now I have 2 sores. Does anyone else have this problem? If so what did you do? Also is it common to start a side effect 3 weeks into taking meds. I have also started the morphine sulfate at the same time but I'm thinking it couldn't be this. Or could it? Any information will be helpful.

Hi Julie,
I've been taking Lyrica for 3 weeks too, and I haven't had any problems with mouth sores. I switched directly over from gabapentin. I'm not getting any more relief than I was on the gabapentin so I might switch back. My side effects are that I am sleepier with Lyrica, and I constantly want to eat. I hope someone else can help you with the mouth sore issue.
Take care, Missy

Mouth ulceration is a rare, but documented, side effect of Lyrica. www.ehealthme.com/ds/lyrica/mouth+sores
Mention it to your doctor.

i have never taken lyrica or morphine sulfa but am allergic to sulfa based meds. they give me a rash. as for sores in my mouth i get alot because of my rsd causing infections in my gums due to it weakening my immune system. if i were you i would let your dr know and see what he thinks. a pharmacist is also good to ask for a second opinion. hope you feel better soon.

I gained a lot of weight on Lyrica. I swear there's a cheesecake in every pill. For some reason, it seems very hard to shed, afterwards.
