My doc charges $1000 and the outpatient surgery center another $1000 if I pay cash, which seems to be highway robbery compared to most places. I am in So Cal.

I hesitate to write this on a non closed forum but I'm a PhD biochemist. As a scientist, I'm capable of evaluating scientific research. In looking at the insurance coverage for various treatments for CRPS, IMO they cherry pick the literature to avoid paying for some of these procedures that should be considered helpful based on an objective evaluation of the literature. For my insurance company at least.
