Default Do any of you feel that certain foods make

the RSD worse.

The reason I ask this is yesterday made a pitcher if iced tea. It was caffinated. I drank a couple of glasses yesterday because it was so hot and humid here.

Last night my pevic pain was so much worse that extra meds didn't touch it. This is the only thing I did different yesterday except being on my feet a lot. I'm still bringing my storage things here and going through them. I've got a load to donate today.

Also the bottom of my feet hurt and the top burned all night also. I am thinking that RSD is coming out or the MS.

I have got to cut down on what I'm doing but don't know how. It might be too late now due to my feet problems.

I know Dr. Hooshmand talked about foods but I never noticed anything making things worse until yesterday what I drink that tea. I am still dealing with the inner pelvic pain.

Have any of you noticed any foods that make things worse for you?

Hey Ada,

Do you reckon this extra pain is related to the extra heel pain? (as in by changing from walking on earth to hard concrete that could have also made your pelvic pain worse - because the concrete walking would definetly be putting more pressure around that area of you). I find that foods at extreme temperatures do make things worse and I know that there are certain foods I should avoid. Chocolate/ Cheese/ Milk/ other dairy makes my brain really sluggish and increase my pain, some alcohols make the pain far worse (and that's before the hangover), bread makes my head and thoughts all rubbish. I know I have felt alot better and mentally clearer since becoming vegan.

About pain and food, as I have already said extremes of hot or cold make it worse - I can't really eat icecream or that sort of thing because the temperature shock just sends my RSD mad - like having an ice headache everywhere.

Also, was the tea stored properly? If it wasn't could it be you have a bug from it which set off that pain?

Sorry I don't have anymore suggestions!!

Hope you are feeling better soon

Love

Default Hi Frogga,

I saw where you are having a really bad time. I read all of your post but somethings I have no ideal on such as the pump. I do think of you though and wish you would start seeing better days and maybe a pain pump would do it.

As far as walking, I have quit taking my walks. I took a short one Monday and decided I won't do anymore. I hadn't done any in a week or so anyway. I do stay on my feet a lot. I have trouble satting still.Even with two caregivers I see something that needs doing and I do it. As a matter of fact sometimes I clean my house so they won't see such a mess. How's that for nutty?

I do think the foot pain and the pelvic pain were seperate. Mainly because the pain didn't go all the way down my legs. It was in my pelvic area and in my feet, top and bottom.

As far as the tea. I had just opened a new package and made some. I had been wanting some forever and finally made some. I drink some right after I made it. I really think though it did get the pelvic pain going. I drink coffee though and it don't bother me.

Like you, I can't do dairy, ice cream, bread and sugar. I am pretty much a vegetarian also. I don't do any dairy products. I eat egg whites for breakfast and eat salads or fish at times for other meals.

What I have noticed to my appetite is crazy. There are days I have to make myself eat. I don't crave foods or get hungry.

Thanks for the input.

Ada

The hell of it is that as soon as I can positively identify something as being good or bad for the RSD, it changes. I had a huge problem with sodium nitrite which is a deadly poison in small quantities but it's added to almost all processed meats in very tiny amounts. This lasted for months and then suddenly the sensitivity seemed to just disappear.

I do best generally if I try to eat three or four small well balanced meals per day but the specifics have varied wildly since I got sick.
