RSD ME 11-16-2015 09:22 PM

hi everyone. thanks for all of your kind thoughts. i have been in so much pain today. i was at the eye dr for almost two hours because i was squeezed in at the last minute today. that didn't help me feel any better but at least they saw me. the dr said i had an eye infection and gave me antibiotic drops to take every four hours for one week. my eye is still swollen and red and burning but i am hoping the drops will help soon. the name of the drops is called tobramycin ophthalmic solution USP. he said it could be because of my rsd but they are never sure. i am sure. i know my body and i have been sick all the time since i've gotten rsd. as for my pain level because of this infection, it is about a nine all over my body, my rsd is flaring and i have a terrible headache. i am so tired of being sick and in pain all the time. it's almost five years of rsd and i am wearing out. i feel it. but i will keep fighting this monster until they find a cure. (i hope it's soon though because i really am worn out from the constant pain.) thank you all again for caring so much. i care about all of you too and hope you know how amazing you all are. i couldn't fight this rsd without the support of all of you. and i am always here for you too if i can help you find the strength to face another day with this beast. love you all. hope you have a pain free as possible night tonight.

I am a little late coming on to this thread as I have been dealing with my own barrage of problems. It has been almost a week since you started your eye drops that your eye doctor prescribed. Hoping that things cleared up for you, and that it was not rsd in the eye.

Take care and lots of healing thoughts and hugs going your way,

hi everyone. sorry it's taken me so long to respond to this post. i've been so sick this past month and am still not well enough to do too much. i do log onto neurotalk just about every day to read your posts though. as for my eye, my dr said i had an infection in it and gave me antibiotic eye drops to take every four hours for about a week. my eye got puss in it the second day after using the drops (sorry if this is tmi). so i called the dr and they said to just continue with the drops and if there was no improvement in a few days to call them back for another appt. so i continued to use the drops and it went away after the fourth day. my eye is better now but still burns a little. my eye dr said it could be related to rsd because of the burning and my weakened immune system from rsd. hopefully it won't happen again but if it does, i'll know what is going on at least this time so it won't be as scary. the eye drops the dr prescribed to me was called tobramycin/ophthalmic/solution usp. of course now that my eye is a little better my stomach is getting worse. i have had many abdominal problems since getting rsd but now i really have to get that endoscopy i've been putting off done. i had cancelled it once before because of other infections i had at the time had and for fear of what they might find. hopefully that will be soon because the pain is really bad. as for my rsd pain it is really bad all over too. about a steady 8 on the pain scale this past month and i don't sleep well because of the pain and stress. well my hands are starting to hurt more and my eyes are getting blurry again so i have to stop typing for now. thank you all for you kindness, caring and support. i hope you are all doing ok and having low to no pain days. sending warm wishes to all of my dear friends here on neurotalk.

RSD,

If it is any comfort I know how you feel.

After getting CRPS I have had many bouts of crusty painful eyes and chronic digestive problems. The last days have been dreadful, so bad I am bed bound from stomach pain and nausea. I am living on cream of rice cereal and mineral water. It is unsettling to be hungry, but fearful to eat. I also have to be close to a toilet.

I had a huge set back after traveling a fairly short distance for the holiday. I needed help to get from the car into my house-the pain was through the roof. Fortunately, the jade infared mat eased this, but now after several sleepless nights I am experiencing a new insomnia pattern.

RSDme,

Thanks for giving the update in spite of the pain in your hands. I am glad your eye is improving and hope your other symptoms settle too.

Many people find endoscopy and other diagnostic procedures anxiety producing. I think it natural to be concerned about results, especially if you are having symptoms. I hope all goes well and you are comfortable throughout.

Sending thoughts of healing and comfort,

BB, I hope you feel better soon and your pain goes back down. When you feel like adding to the cream of rice you could try something from the BRAT diet for upset tummies. Bananas, Rice, Apples, Toast....

Sending gentle hugs,
