My thoughts are with you!!!
Since one of my original nerve injuries that led to my crps started with my ulnar nerve in my left arm.....I know how badly that can hurt! Especially since I also had an EMG done about a month after I also know how painful that can be in top of the injured nerve and crps!! Make sure you keep in close contact with your PM doc and that they cover any extra pain or flares with the proper meds! I hope you can get through it with as little pain as possible although I know it's not likely!! Know we are here for you!!!#

Today I am now going on my third day of horrible flare up pain in my neck and left arm where the EMG was performed plus my shoulder is hurting like all get out after the ultrasound. I'm glad he saw something abnormal (after going through an RSD diagnosis it's nice to have concrete, tangible evidence that you're not completely insane)...but all that poking around has elevated the pain. He gave me Tylenol #4...which helps with the pain a little...but relief doesn't last long. And I am constantly over doing it with taking care of the baby...but how can I not when she is just so darn cute and even though it makes the pain worse I just refuse to not hold my little girl and play with her...trying to take it easy on that front but I just won't give it up entirely.

Catra,
I'm sorry you're still hurting. It's nice they gave you something for that. Tangible evidence sure is good to have! At least now you can get the right treatment and some validation. I can't think of a better reason to push it than playing with your baby girl. I would do the same. :) Sending hugs and hoping you feel better soon, |
