Default Question and Poll for Female Members

Hello Ladies,

I am wondering if anyone else gets this and how prevalent it may be. Answer the anonymous poll and we'll find out.

I have noticed a routine cyclical increase in pain and symptoms. Every month my pain gets worse at "that time". More nervy and achy pain, more prominent color change and more swelling. No real surprise.

Sadly though it still freaks me out every month and I then agonize "What's wrong with my foot? Did I hurt it? What if I tore something a little bit? Is my pain getting worse? What if this doesn't go away?, Oh no!"

Then inevitably, I take it easy and get back to baseline a few days later. Which only makes me continue to wonder if I did something and laying off it made it better. Oh Boy! I am a mess sometimes...

Most months I don't notice much of a difference with my RSD when I have my period...but every once in a while if I have a particularly bad one or heavier than normal one it does impact the RSD...increasing all symptoms...but that is rare. I am on birth control...so it is rare for me to have a heavier than normal cycle but it does happen maybe once a year.

I thought it was just me! I know we have the habit of trying to blame everything on CRPS so I was being very careful not to. The other thing I thought of was the effect stress has on the whole body. I don't know yet if I will file in under the CRPS tab or the "I have no idea" tab.

I guess this would be another reason I'm thankful I'm on the "Yay! I can wear white pants anytime I want!" train.

I would guess there may be a connection...I know a lot of women who get headaches on their cycle (or just before)

Always, I am so glad that you are able to have a sense of humor with what you are going through right now with your son.

I was on my period during my ketamine infusion, so I'm wondering if my flareup is due more to that or combination of both.....

I usually have a flareup in the days before my period and it usually ends of them day or two after my period. I finished yesterday so I hope this calms down soon!!

I'm of few words as of late. Hope you all are doing well, I have taken a break for a while from this forum. I agree Littlepaw, yes, there is an exacerbation in symptoms. Hope that helps

I don't have CRPS, by daughter does, but I do get awful migraines, and they are absolutely tied to my menstrual cycle. I believe there is a a neurological connection with our cycles.
