w00t!!!!!
That's fantastic, I am so happy for you! I know the feeling of relief and security it gives to finally get your decision.

Go celebrate now, and sleep well tonight. It's a long battle you have fought, and it's time for a victory party, lol.

Default Hi Dawn,

Been there, done that... I know exactly how you feel with news that good.

Now maybe you can relax and as the stress goes away from struggling to make ends me then you can feel somewhat better. Maybe a whole lot better.

Arrow Sweet!!!

Congratulations!!!

That is really wonderful news, and I can only imagine the enormous weight that is lifted off you.

One question though.........since my second hearing is coming up. Did they let you have the back pay??? Or did they make a deal????

Congrats. That is such great news. I know waiting to see if I was approved has hard. When that back pay came in I was hopping..(maybe waving) for joy. It does help. enjoy and relax. the worse is over.

Thank you "ALL" so much...

It was funny when the SSD letter came in the mail yesterday I made my husband open it since I was nervous... Pretty bad hu... Like that would have made any difference in the outcome.
I was like Oh my God Thank You I felt like I had a huge weight come off my chest.

allentgamer- I will be talking to my attorney next week and she will be filling me in with all the other information. Once I know about the back pay I will definitely let you know what they are going to do. I do know that they said that they found me disabled since May of 2002 in the letter that was sent. It also said that I would be contacted about the financial part soon. I am assuming that paperwork will be handled thru my attorney. But I will let you know...

You all are Great "Thank You" so much for your support. It means the World to me...
Hugs &
Dawn

Default Congrats to you - what a relief to have this over

What good news! You should receive back pay from SSD - I am almost positive you will. Just beware - they take a big chunk of taxes out of the back pay when you file at the end of the year. Be sure to keep money aside for that "surprise". It can put you in a higher tax bracket from that much money in one year. However, it is still worth it in the long run.
You are young so it is fortunate you received it. This also makes you eligible for medicare. ( I think) Perhaps you already knew that.

Anyway - I am happy for you.
By the way - I adore your pictures of your dogs. I love animals and am involved in many animal welfare groups. My dog is from the shelter as are all my animals for 40 years. Pets are always such a comfort especially when you are disabled and can't get out very much.
Best wishes,
Sydney
