It's unlikely there is a direct connection between RSD and concussion. At least I've never heard of such correlation.

The commonalities are.

Injury.
Being female.
Being early to mid-40's.
The injury was unexpected/ sudden.
Icing of injury.

Children have the best chance of "full" recovery with early and aggresive treatment. After two years it rarely goes away but it can improve. Even in cases of complete remission it can come back.
