I bought disposable crock pot liners once and I have been hooked ever since! It has made things so much easier.

Because I am such a Pinterest junkie I have so many recipes. I have Weight Watchers, vegetarian, Paleo, and anything else you can think of. I was just going over my recipes yesterday while trying to come up with a grocery list for my husband. I love him but he is not a good cook!

I may have to look into those liners to make my life easier. The first time I did the big shopping list for meals I sent my boyfriend to the store with a list. Big mistake...I was grilled on why I needed each ingredient and then spent a good 30 mins on the phone with him while he was at the store talking about pineapple juice...lol. Peapod grocery delivery works much better and is actually cheaper since I can sort ingredients by price.

I have thought about using PeaPod. I have to force myself to get up and go to the grocery store, due to pain, which is hard. I think it is pretty hip to drive around those carts up and down the aisles though. Verrrroooom, veroooooooom..... Can't get any of the staff there to race against me though. Kind of bums me out.

They look like clear plastic bags, almost like the oven bags, and I couldn't imagine not using them.

I never thought about using Peapod but I will have to look into it. My husband does a pretty good job when it comes to shopping, as long as I give him a list. But he's a firefighter so he works 24 hour shift and he has been working overtime so he is pretty busy.

When my son was sick I used PeaPod a LOT. Best thing ever! I wish they had it where I currently live.

With my daughter getting ready to move back to TN, I collected a binder of recipes and my mom, my daughter & I pre-made them and froze them in single servings so I can easily make something on my own. Took almost all day, ~$200 but I have ~40-50 meals all ready to throw in the oven/crock pot/microwave. Of course I haven't actually tried them yet...we don't want to waste them while she's still here and can cook

I've had to pretty much give up wheat and gluten and most grains. I totally love them and miss them, but they ultimately made me feel awful! It took me probably a decade or more to figure this out. Maybe try a gluten free pizza crust, or actually I usually use gluten free tortillas as the base as they have fewer calories. You can still put all the yummy toppings on, but you don't have the wheat (or additives) that may be stressing your system. Hope that helps

You know, I've been thinking. Wouldn't it be such a shame *SMIRK* for your mom to have to rush home right away after she left after spending time with you. I mean, think about it. Why not zip on over and see Spike, make him- Oh, let's say- 80 to 100 meals- and then head on home afterwards? Doesn't that sound like a GREAT idea?

I've tried the gluten free stuff. I'd rather not eat the grain based meals in that case. I just can't do the gluten free. I don't like the taste.

Thanks everyone for all these great ideas - think I'm going to have to buy a crock pot for this winter - easier than the large saucepan I currently use. Sadly don't think I'll be able to get those disposable liners down here in NZ.

Re the flare-ups from Pizza - it may be due to the tomato sauce - ie: concentrated tomato - tomato is from the nightshade family of plants. Also a lot of commercial tomato paste is imported in bulk from China and then repackaged for supply in the US - you never know what might be in it eg: MSG.
