I fell at 5 a.m.... balance bad after surgery... black and blue...
FOCUS |
Thanks to all of you that supported me over the last couple of days. I've finally turned the corner. CRPS is crazy. It is offended by anything that happens to the body and takes it personally. I'm finally starting to ramp down from my CRPS pain. Once I get my strength back, I will post each of you directly. Until then... Again.. thanks!

Thanks for the update Spike. Sorry to hear that you fell. Glad to hear that you are feeling a little better. As you say----turned the corner---gives a little ray of hope that a little relief is down the road. Keeping you in my prayers.

Ok I am new here but I can't help but wonder what type of surgery and why??
|
First it was my CRPS acting up. Then it was my surgical site. UGH, now it is both. I guess that I just have to be patient. But.. I am indeed making progress!

Hang in there
I feel ya. I had surgery a month ago on my mouth and had 2 extractions. I was given Ketamine while in surgery and then because of the symptoms I was kept in the hospital for 4 days and given lidocaine and ketamine through IV. I also had to stop LDN and start hydrocodone, which I ended up being allergic to and so that was switched to Dilaudid which was helpful for 2 weeks for the pain in the site but the flare in my nerves was unbearable.
I ended up having a ketamine booster scheduled last week and this helped bring the pain down for a short time. I am not sure how I survived those weeks but hang in there. Meditation can help calm the nervous system as well as baths with epsom salt & gentle massage. Be kind to your body and know this is temporary and eventually you will get back down to your baseline. Hope you are feeling better with each day! |
I am convinced. CRPS will be in Hades. I just can't get back to my baseline and stay there following surgery. My goodness, does this disease ever HURT! Each of you is in my prayers. None of you deserves this dreadful pain.

I hope you feel better soon. I have had a lot of pain today, difficult to walk, grrrrr. I wanted to walk around outside, it was such a warm, sunny spring day. Had a really good cry today, painful and then it was like my heart broke and all that emotional pain poured out through the tears, it was cleansing. I felt better. I got a phone call tonight, my brother was telling me all these things that were so outrageous we laughed and laughed it felt so good, lightened my heart. I listened to some music today that always helps lift my spirit. Thank you for your prayers Spike. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers as we go through this journey, one day at a time. peace zinnia |
