Hi Dawn! WOW, your hubby ROCKS!!! (And I agree with Desi-he IS CUTE, and you are just an adorable couple!!). Sounds like the two of you have made a really good plan, which will also relieve some of the financial pressures.

Maybe when the land sells, etc., you could put just a little money aside, so you can visit your Mom a little more frequently, and have a little "Mom-daughter FUN"?

I bet you and your hubby WILL find that "dream home" in the Tuscon foothills.... Things have a "funny way" of working out...!!!

Best wishes and DREAMS for you and your family!

Dawn, you have a wonderful hubby You need more time to plan this, as he said. I had to move a few years ago, while having rsd/crps and aids. It really sucked, I have to say. Between the lack of energy and the pain, I was pretty crippled up for a month after we got settled in. I wouldn't want to see you go through that, no way.

About building your own house... maybe it's a better idea that you don't, anyway. The stress level you'd have dealing with contractors and decorators would be too much. They're always way behind schedule and want more money than they originally asked for!

It's wonderful that you have that type of relationship with your Mom, to want to be close to her. I'm sure she'll understand your needing to wait a year. Rsd makes us (me anyway, lol) feel very old and crickety... you and your Mom have more in common than you should.

I love the pics of you, hubby and kids... schnauzers are such a wonderful breed. Your pics make me miss San Diego a LOT, though. Especially when it's 103 degrees here today!
